SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING ROLL ROUNDNESS
An apparatus, computer program product, and method provide for increased economy in maintaining working and backup rollers that are used to producing sheet metal of uniform thickness. Left and right necks of the roller are supported and rotated. A radial measurement is made of left and right necks to calculate a center of rotation of each neck. Radial positions of reference spheres centered at each end that define a gage reference line (GRL) are measured. Material is removed from the necks to not only increase roundness but also to move the center of rotation of each neck toward the GRL, enabling grinding/machining of a body portion of the roller to restore roundness with reduced waste of material.

A grinding tool kit, apparatus and method for finish machining of a rolling surface of a bearing roller. The apparatus comprises a main machine, an external circulation system, a grinding tool kit and a grinding tool kit clamp. A configuration of the main machine comprise a grinding strip assembly rotary type and a grinding sleeve rotary type. A grinding tool kit, apparatus and method for finish machining of a rolling surface of a bearing roller. The present invention provides a manufacturing method by which a good quality tapered roller can be obtained at low cost. An intermediate raw material (17) is obtained by grinding an outer-circumferential surface (15) of a preliminary intermediate raw material (14), which is obtained by plastic working of a metallic circular column shaped raw material, using a grindstone (16), with a large diameter-side end surface (10) of the intermediate raw material (14) as a reference. A final intermediate raw material (21a) is obtained by grinding the large diameter-side end surface (10) of the intermediate raw material (17) using a grindstone (20), and grinding the intermediate raw material (17) by a predetermined length instead of setting the intermediate raw material (17) to a predetermined length.

The present invention provides a manufacturing method by which a good quality tapered roller can be obtained at low cost. A threaded lid having a circular opening that is at least the same diameter as the inner diameter of the tube is configured to mount onto the housing at the threaded end and compress the compression bladder thereby reducing the diameter of the tubular opening and compressing the compression bladder against the tube to secure the tube within the housing.
