RECIPROCAL SEGMENT ABRASIVE CUTTING TOOL
The disclosed technology includes a cutting tool comprising segments arranged around a periphery of a cutting tool. Each segment, of the plurality of segments comprising a first portion comprising a first material having a first hardness, a second portion comprising a second material having a second hardness, the second hardness being less than the first hardness, and a transition region. The transition region can include at least part of the first material and at least part of the second material. The transition region can have an overall third hardness that is less than the first hardness and greater than the second hardness. A first segment and a second segment of the plurality of segments can be attached to the periphery of the cutting tool such that at least the first portion of the first segment is aligned in a cutting direction with the second portion of the second segment.
Reciprocal segment abrasive cutting tool
The disclosed technology includes an abrasive cutting tool having a plurality of segments arranged around a periphery of the cutting tool. The plurality of segments can include a first segment having a first portion having a first concentration of abrasive material, and a second portion having a second concentration of abrasive material. The second concentration can be less than the first concentration. The cutting tool can have a second segment having a third portion having a concentration of abrasive material that can be similar to the concentration of the first portion, and a fourth portion having a concentration of abrasive material that can be similar to the concentration of the second portion. The first portion and the second portion can be reciprocally arranged in relation to the third portion and the fourth portion around the periphery of the cutting tool.
CIRCULAR BLADE CORES WITH REMOVABLE SECTIONS AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLY AND USE
Tool cores may have removable sections, which may be removable without damaging, cutting or severing attachment configurations for the removable sections. The removable sections may be handled simultaneously. Moving parts used to facilitate removal of the removable sections may be secured in a pre-loaded configuration.
Tool for grinding toothed workpieces having collision contours
A tool for generating tooth systems by grinding when the maximum tool diameter is limited by collision contours on the workpiece has a dressable grinding tool that is tightly connected to the tool holder. In one preferred arrangement, the dressable grinding tool is glued on the tool holder.

DISK-SHAPED TOOL AND METHOD FOR MACHINING WORKPIECES, CUTTING DEVICE, AND USE OF A CUTTING, GRINDING AND POLISHING DISK TO PRODUCE A SURF ACE STRUCTURE ON A WORKPIECE
The invention relates to a disk-shaped cutting tool, to a radial cutting method for machining axially elongated workpieces, to a cutting device and to a use of a disk-shaped cutting tool. A disk-shaped cutting tool according to the invention has defined flexibility and a defined impact. In a radial cutting process according to the invention, lateral deflection of the axially stationary rotating tool brings the tool, by means of the at least one laterally applied grinding and polishing surface, into axial effective contact with the workpiece to be machined. In a cutting device according to the invention, the cutting tool can be moved only radially to machine the workpiece. A use according to the invention of a disk-shaped tool serves the purpose of specimen preparation and subsequent surface analysis on a workpiece cut to length.
Abrasive wheels and methods for making and using same
A cutting wheel includes a body having a bond material. The bond material comprises at least about 31 vol % of a total volume of the body. Additionally, the body includes abrasive particles contained within the bond material. The abrasive particles include a first type of abrasive particle including black alumina with at least about 10 vol % of a total volume of the abrasive particles including black alumina. In some instances the cutting wheel can include a chop saw, while in other situations, the cutting wheel can include a cut-off wheel.
