CLAMPING DEVICE AND RELATED LEVER TYPE CAPPING MACHINE
A clamping device that can be installed in a capping machine for substantially cylindrical caps, including prisms that are placed in contact with each other so as to create a cavity in which a cap can be housed and are free to translate with respect to each other away from or towards an axis of symmetry of the cavity, in order to clamp and/or compress the cap housed in said cavity, said clamping device wherein a first and a second prism form a first pair and a third and a fourth prism form a second pair in which at least the first and/or second pair includes guiding means configured to allow a linear type translation and to perform an at least one-directional, preferably bidirectional retention action of the prisms of each pair with respect to each other.
Self-centering dual direction clamping vise with adjustable center support
A vise assembly has a base and a pair of side walls extending from the base and providing guideways. A jaw is configured for guided movement by the guideways. An actuator is coupled to the jaw to cause movement of the jaw. A support supports at least a portion of the actuator. A biasing element is configured to urge the actuator to engage the support.
STRAIGHT EDGE BAR WITH CLAMP AND SPREADER
A straight edge bar clamp spreader comprises a straight edge bar, an inner channel portion, parallel channel portions, and two-way bosses or divots, a clamp, and a clamp-spreader. The inner channel portion is provided along an elongated central region of the bottom surface of the straight edge bar with a constant cross-section. The parallel channel portions are provided along two elongated parallel regions of the top surface of the straight edge bar. The two-way bosses or divots are provided across and on an inner surface of the inner channel portion of the bottom surface and an outer surface of the top surface and configured to define the predetermined stopping positions for two-way movements along the bottom surface or the top surface. The clamp is installed in the inner channel portion of the bottom surface. The clamp-spreader is installed in the pair of parallel channel portions of the top surface.
Vise
The present invention relates to a novel vise that operates in both a threaded and unthreaded mode. The vise includes a fixed block, a movable head, a rod, a ratchet mechanism, a threaded mechanism and a toggle mechanism. In the threaded mode, the movable head may only be moved by rotating the rod. In the unthreaded mode, the movable head may only be moved by applying force to the movable head in the desired direction of movement.
Workpiece clamping device with coupling body between clamping body and threaded spindle
A workpiece clamping device having at least one base body. A first clamping body and a second clamping body are movably supported on the at least one base body in a clamping direction. A threaded spindle extends along a spindle longitudinal axis. The spindle longitudinal axis is orientated in clamping direction. It has a first thread section for the first clamping body and a second thread section for the second clamping body. A first coupling body has a first counter thread portion and a second coupling body has a second counter thread portion. In a coupling position the counter thread portions are in engagement with the assigned thread section respectively. In a decoupling position the counter thread portion is disengaged from the assigned thread section. In this decoupling position a movement of the clamping bodies is possible without rotation of the threaded spindle.
Floating jaw assembly for use with machinist vises
An improved floating jaw assembly to a machinist vise assembly capable of holding a plurality of individual workpieces, the vise assembly generally including a base with a way or ways, a fixed jaw mounted on the ways, at least one movable jaw slidably mounted on the ways to move toward and away from the fixed jaw on a longitudinal axis in such a manner that at least one workpiece can be securely held between the fixed jaw and the at least one movable jaw, and a mechanism for moving the movable jaw toward and away from the fixed jaw to clamp and unclamp workpieces. The floating jaw assembly includes at least one floating jaw plate attached to the vise assembly with means for adjustable movement of the floating jaw plate(s) along the longitudinal axis of the vise assembly and for articulated movement of the floating jaw plate(s) in a plane substantially parallel to the base of the vise assembly and about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vise assembly so that the floating jaw plates can, in cooperation with adjoining jaws or plates, adjust to and securely hold workpieces. In addition, the floating jaw assembly includes a means of forcing the at least one floating jaw plate downward and securely against the ways of the vise assembly.
CLAMPING APPARATUS FOR CLAMPING-IN AN OBJECT, APPARATUS HAVING A CLAMPING APPARATUS AND VISE HAVING A CLAMPING APPARATUS
A clamping apparatus includes a spindle body and a nut element to be screwed together for decreasing a spacing between first and second clamping elements to clamp an object disposed therebetween. The nut element has roller bodies with a defined roller engagement structure axially rotatably secured on a receiving body of the nut element and distributed in circumferential direction. A plurality of engagement regions distributed and/or spaced apart on the spindle body each have one spindle body engagement structure. The roller engagement structures of the roller bodies engage or can engage the spindle body engagement structures of the spindle body. The nut element can be screwed to the spindle body by the mutually engaged engagement structures of the spindle body and of the roller bodies, in particular with rolling of the roller bodies on the spindle body. An apparatus and a vise having the clamping apparatus are also provided.
Simply Smart Ladder Clamp
A simply smart ladder clamp includes a first generally Sigma-shaped body portion having a first downwardly extending arm and a second downwardly extending arm which together subtend and define an intermediate element with an inner laterally extending flat surface and a recess adjacent the first downwardly extending arm. A clamping member captures a flat portion of the gutter between the flat portion and an inner surface of the first downwardly extending arm to mount the simply smart ladder clamp to the gutter. Preferably two simply smart ladder clamps are used, positioned inside the legs of a ladder to prevent movement of the ladder relative to the gutter.
