Armorer tool system for assembly and servicing AR platform firearms
An armorer tool system for distributing the applied torque over a very wide surface, associated with assembling and disassembling primarily the barrel and the lower receiver extension of an AR platform firearms, independently of the specifications of their barrel extension, lower receiver and upper receiver external features, and magazine well geometry; and methods of using the tools are also disclosed.
Armorer's block
A gunsmithing block is disclosed. The gunsmithing block has a first end for interfacing with a vice, and a second end shaped to interface with an upper receiver assembly of a firearm, the upper receiver assembly having an upper receiver, a bolt carrier without a bolt, and a barrel extension. The second end has an upper receiver mating portion shaped to interface with an interior region of the upper receiver and an interior region of the barrel extension. Methods of using and making a gunsmithing block are also disclosed.
Drive Side Liner For A Centrifugal Pump
There is provided a drive side liner for a centrifugal slurry pump, wherein the centrifugal slurry pump includes an outer casing, a main liner and an impeller driven by a drive shaft, wherein the main liner and drive side liner are housed within the outer casing of the centrifugal slurry pump, the drive side liner including: an inner liner portion including a central aperture configured to receive the drive shaft, the drive side liner further including an outer liner portion arranged to surround the inner liner portion, wherein the inner liner portion and the outer liner portion are each configured to removably engage with one another and the outer casing.
FIXTURE FOR HOLDING A PART DURING A MACHINING OPERATION
A fixture for holding a part comprises a frame supporting a guide plate. A controlled engagement device passes through the guide plate and is arranged to be advanced incrementally towards a first end of a fulcrum beam. A second end of the fulcrum beam is connected to a linkage arm, the linkage arm passing through a gap in the guide plate. An end of the linkage arm distal to the fulcrum beam has a swivel clamp mounted thereto. A support is arranged to face the swivel clamp and defines a space there between, the space being configured to receive a part to be clamped in the fixture.
Vise parallel retaining device, it's use, and vise parallel retaining device kit
This specification discloses a holder device for retaining a pair of parallels against a pair of vise jaws, a method of using said holder device, and a holder device kit. The holder device comprises a compressible member and an incompressible member. The compressible member has a compressible member first end, a compressible member second end, and a compressible member length dimension. The incompressible member has an incompressible member first end, an incompressible member second end, and an incompressible member length dimension. The compressible member second end and the incompressible member first end are connected to form the holder device.
Modular, cam locked soft jaw for holding workpieces securely and accurately in a machine tool
The present invention relates to a clamping mechanism that is configured to securely hold a workpiece in a machine tool, such as, but not limited to a vertical machining center, or a horizontal machining center, etc. More specifically, the clamping mechanism is configured as a modular soft jaw. A multiplicity of clamping mechanisms can be used to cooperatively secure large workpieces. Furthermore, a multiplicity of clamping mechanisms can be incorporated into a job set-up so a multiplicity of workpieces can be processed concurrently. The present invention's clamping mechanism can be secured in orientations such as, but not limited to a machine tool table bed, a fixture plate, a tombstone, etc. The present invention's modular, soft jaw clamping mechanism can be used in conjunction with other work holding equipment, such as, but not limited to jigs, fixtures, tools, vises, clamps, etc.
Machine vise anti-lift jaws
A machine-tool vise is described that employs an articulated two-piece movable jaw including a jaw nut that engages the lead screw and a jaw bit coupled to the jaw nut through a slanted interface wherein the slanted interface between the nut and the bit is located at the top of the bit to eliminate the secondary effects found in the prior art.
VISE APPARATUS
Example implementations relating to a mechanical vise are disclosed herein. In one particular implementation, a first jaw piece includes a first slip surface a second jaw piece includes a second slip surface. The first slip surface may be moveable with respect to the second slip surface, while in slip contact with the second slip surface, to at least in part apply a force against a workpiece.
Modular Vise System and Methods of Using Same
The present invention provides a modular vise system comprised of a fixed body, a moveable body, and a fixture plate, wherein the moveable body has a wide range of motion which enables it to grab a piece of any size that will fit within the confines of the fixture plate, the moveable body being tightened from the top of the modular vise. Tightening of the modular vise from the top allows for multiple work pieces to be placed along the moving axis of the modular vise which increases workpiece density and machine efficiency. The moveable body of the modular vise may be driven mechanically, electrically, or via a fluid driven actuator such as a pneumatic actuator or a hydraulic actuator.
System for assembly and disassembly of a rocket motor
The system includes a forward clamping assembly, steady rests and compression assembly upon which the fuselage of a rocket is secured. The forward clamping assembly secures the forward fuselage of the rocket and the steady rests secure the middle fuselage of the rocket. The compression assembly includes a fluted nozzle rotator which engages the flutes of the nozzle of the rocket. Rotation of the nozzle rotator results in torque being applied to the joint connecting the rocket nozzle with the motor casing of the rocket so as to allow insertion or removal of an Ortman key that secures the motor casing and nozzle.
