Optical qualifier for clamping tool
This clamping tool uses optical distance verification with a laser. Clamping tools, like all tools, are known to be operated improperly. Many tools verify process completion by monitoring the pressure within the pneumatic tool. Previous qualifiers use pressure to determine many things. However, it often misses if a small object impedes a full stroke. With the addition of an optical laser sensor, we are able to determine if a clamping tool reaches full stroke.

ELECTRIC VISE
A power vise including a body and a jaw connected to and extending from the vise body. The vise can also include an actuator extending at least partially through the jaw body, where the actuator can include a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The vise can include a moving jaw connected to the first end of the actuator. The vise can include a motor connected to the second end of the actuator, where the motor can be operable to move the actuator to move the moving jaw with respect to the fixed jaw, including a hammering or impacting function, and that such hammering or impacting can be performed after a predetermined delay. The vise can include a sensor configured to produce a signal based on a condition of the vise and to control the vise at least in part on using that signal.

Flexible and precise fixture for micromachining
A flexible and precise fixture for micromachining includes a base and a support shaft extending vertically from the base. The support shaft includes a proximal end attached to the base and an enlarged distal end inserted inside a cavity of a clamp support block. One or more clamp jaws are provided on a top surface of the clamp support block. One or more angular pointers are included having a proximal end mounted pivotally on the base and a distal end pivotally mounted to the clamp support block, each pointer mounted to an individual side wall of the clamp support block. A washer and nut are mounted on the support shaft, the washer positioned between the nut and the clamp support block. The nut is threadedly mounted on the support shaft and may be tightened or loosened to place the clamp support block into a respective fixed or released position.
