Asymmetrical disposable torque limiting mount and device

Disclosed are aspects of exemplars of torque-limiting devices, methods and mechanisms exemplars methods may include placing an actuator in a tool containment interface of a handle; movable mounting a tool portion with an actuation catch and a work piece engaging region (WER) in the interface; applying sufficient force to the movable mounting to the handle may be via pins, guides and slots. Said catch may be one of a body catch and a lever catch; and, the actuator terminates on one of a ball shaped end that forms and interface with the body catch and a force lever that forms an interface with the lever catch.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE MAGNITUDE OF THE OUTPUT TORQUE AND A POWER WRENCH

A method of verifying a magnitude of a delivered output torque during a tightening operation of a threaded joint performed by a hand held power wrench including a housing, a motor, an output shaft, and a power transmission connecting the motor to the output shaft. The method includes: tightening the threaded joint; monitoring a magnitude of a direct torque acting along the power transmission during the tightening by at least one direct torque indicating sensor; monitoring a magnitude of a reaction torque transferred via the housing during the tightening by at least one reaction torque sensor; comparing the monitored magnitude of the direct torque with the monitored magnitude of the reaction torque; and determining, based on the comparison, whether the accuracy of the delivered output torque is acceptable.

Torque structure

A torque structure includes a first body, a second body, a first elastic member, a third body, and a limit unit. The second body is provided with a second receiving chamber, a first pivot portion, at least one first positioning portion and at least one second positioning portion. The first elastic member is received in the second receiving chamber. The third body is provided with a drive portion, a pivot seat, a second pivot portion, and a first limit portion. The limit unit is assembled with the second body and the third body and rotated between a disengaging position where the third body is unlocked from the second body and has a torque slip function relative to the second body, and a engaging position where the third body is locked by the second body and does not have a torque slip function.

Torque wrench

A torque wrench including a head, a handle, a primary beam, a secondary beam, and a torque adjustment mechanism. The primary beam couples the head and the handle for co-rotation about the rotational axis and the primary beam includes a first end adjacent the head and a second end adjacent the handle. The secondary beam is coupled to the head for rotation with the head about the rotational axis and the secondary beam is movable relative to the primary beam and the handle. The torque adjustment mechanism adjusts a torque setting of the primary beam relative to the secondary beam. The torque adjustment mechanism includes a thumb adjustment wheel that a user rotates about a first axis to adjust the torque setting by moving the second end of the primary beam relative to the handle along a second axis offset from the first axis.

Power tool with clutch and magnetic torque transmission mechanism

A torque transmission mechanism transmits a torque produced by a rotation of a driving shaft to an output shaft. A clutch mechanism is provided between a motor and the torque transmission mechanism. The torque transmission mechanism includes a magnet coupling including a driving magnet member coupled to the driving shaft side and a driven magnet member coupled to the output shaft side. The driving magnet member and the driven magnet member are arranged such that magnetic surfaces on each of which S-pole magnets and N-pole magnets are alternately arranged face other. The clutch mechanism transmits the torque produced by the rotation of the driving shaft to the driving magnet member but does not transmit a torque the driving magnet member receives from the driven magnet member to the driving shaft.

A torque structure includes a first body, a second body, a first elastic member, a retaining unit, an adjusting unit, a mobile unit, and a display unit. The second body has a first guide slot. The first body is rotated relative to the second body to drive the adjusting unit to rotate and move relative to the retaining unit to adjust the torque value. The mobile unit is received. in the second body and aligns with the first guide slot. The mobile unit is mounted between the first elastic member and the adjusting unit. The first body drives the adjusting unit which moves the mobile unit which adjusts the compression extent of the first elastic member to adjust the torque value. The display unit display unit detects a position of the mobile unit and indicates a torque value.

Portable power tool

An electric portable power tool, having a housing, a shaft, a control cam, an electric drive accommodated in the housing to drive the drive shaft, and an output unit that is positively connected with the drive via a mechanical shut-off clutch to transfer torque from the drive to an insertion tool connected with the output unit. The mechanical shut-off clutch comprises a control ring that is axially mounted against the force of the return spring and at least one switch element that is run on the control cam. The control cam is delimited at one end by a first switching contour for providing a release torque of the shut-off clutch and by a boundary contour at another end. The control cam is associated with a second switching contour for providing a pre-torque which is less than the release torque.
