Blind rivet fastening apparatus
A clutch apparatus for releasing the transmission of rotation from an electric motor to a spin shaft, is equipped with a rear clutch nut and a front clutch nut in order from the rear end side. The rear clutch nut transmits rotating force from the electric motor to the front clutch nut when engaged with the front clutch nut, but is disengaged from the front clutch nut by a predetermined rotation load. The front clutch nut has a cylindrical shape, so that the spin shaft can be arranged at an axial center portion, and when engaged with the engaging unit of the spin shaft, the rotating force is transmitted to the spin shaft, but the clutch is disengaged by a backward stroke of the front clutch nut and a predetermined stroke toward the tip of the spin shaft.
BLIND RIVET NUT-SETTING TOOL
A blind rivet nut-setting tool for setting a rivet nut including a housing having an anvil, a pull stud for engaging the rivet nut, and an output shaft defining a drive axis. The tool includes a motor defining a motor axis. The motor is configured to transfer torque to the output shaft to rotate the pull stud about the drive axis. The tool includes a clutch mechanism that is disposed between the motor and the output shaft. The clutch mechanism is moveable between an engaged state, in which a reaction torque exerted on the pull stud is below a predefined torque threshold, and a disengaged state, in which a reaction torque exerted on the pull stud is equal to or above a predefined torque threshold. The tool includes a pull mechanism that is driven by the motor and capable of translating the pull stud along the drive axis.
TWO-PIECE BLIND FASTENER AND INSTALLATION TOOL
A tool for installing a blind fastener including a bolt and a nut includes a base, collet, socket assembly, drive body, and mode clutch. The collet is coupled to the base and disposed about an axis. The collet can selectively engage a portion of the nut. The socket assembly includes a socket housing and a plurality of rollers. The socket housing is rotatable relative to the collet and defines a bore disposed about the axis. The rollers are spaced circumferentially about the axis. A surface of each roller can engage a cylindrical portion of the bolt within the bore to rotate the bolt about the axis. The drive body is coupled to the socket housing and configured to rotate the socket housing about the axis relative to the base. The mode clutch is configured to selectively couple the socket housing with the collet for common rotation about the axis.
TOOL AND METHOD FOR CRIMPING A PART ON A SUPPORT
Tool for crimping an element onto a support member, including a movably mounted rod, a first chamber containing a first fluid, a second chamber containing a second fluid, a piston movably mounted inside the second chamber and separating the second chamber into first and second compartments, an input terminal suitable for being connected to a second fluid source, and a main valve configured to direct the second fluid into the second compartment in order to move the piston to reduce the pressure of the first fluid and drive the rod in a direction opposite to a crimping direction
Blind rivet setting device
A blind rivet setting device and method of setting a blind rivet. The device includes a housing; a pulling mechanism, arranged in the housing, that includes a chuck housing movable in a pulling direction and clamping jaws movable along a clamping distance in the chuck housing; an electric drive, structured and arranged to act on the chuck housing, that includes a control device; an electric battery structured and arranged as an energy source for the electric drive; and a spring structured and arranged in the chuck housing to apply a force to clamping jaws. For each clamping jaw, the chuck housing includes a guide path with a path base obliquely oriented to the pulling direction, and a back of each clamping jaw is supported against its respective path base over the clamping distance.
System and method for installing a manifold plug
The present disclosure relates to an insert and system of installing the same. The insert includes a tapered core and a cylinder. The core releasably secures to an installation device which includes a depth stop or a depth control to control the installation depth of the insert. The insert may be provided in a tray that allows for easier handling of the inserts and installation thereof in installation holes, for example in a hydraulic manifold. In some cases, the core includes a threaded hole to releasably secure the insert to the installation device, thus allowing the installation device to pull the core into the cylinder. The core and cylinder may be made of metallic materials such as steels, steel alloys and others. In some cases the insert can withstand blow out pressures of 40,000 psi or higher.
Joining tool for joining a deformable element to a workpiece
A power tool for joining a deformable element having a threaded shaft to a workpiece. The joining tool comprising a threaded dowel adapted to receive the threaded shaft and rotatably within the housing. A nose is arranged around the threaded dowel, and the dowel is slidably movable relative to the nose. A motor drives a drive train to rotate the threaded dowel. A hydraulic system drives another drive train to move the threaded shaft and compress the deformable element. The joining tool includes a sliding unit. The nose is attachable to the sliding unit, and in an attached position the nose is slidably connected to the housing so that the hydraulic system may move the nose axially to compress the deformable element.
Hydraulic tool for a pulling and/or pressing device
Hydraulic tool for driving a pulling and/or pressing device, comprising a drive shaft that can be mounted to a screwdriver, wherein the drive shaft is operable to drive a hydraulic pump that pumps hydraulic fluid into the operating chamber of a hydraulic power piston. The hydraulic tool may in particular be configured as a riveting or punching attachment for a cordless screwdriver.
Blind rivet nut-setting tool
A blind rivet nut-setting tool includes an output shaft defining a longitudinal axis. The output shaft is moveable along the longitudinal axis between a first position and a second position. The blind rivet nut-setting tool further includes a first motor configured to rotate the output shaft about the longitudinal axis in response to an external force moving the output shaft in a rearward direction from the first position to the second position. The blind rivet nut-setting tool further includes a second motor configured to translate the output shaft along the longitudinal axis in the rearward direction.
