Stapler with moveable strike plate and integrated accessibility features
A stapler including a moveable strike plate and accessibility features is described. A slidable strike plate is moveable from a first staple forming position to a second staple forming position to form different staple shapes. The slidable strike plate is moved relative to the anvil of the stapler with a single hand to change positions. A rotatable strike plate is turned with a single hand to move between staple forming positions by rotating an outer dial of the rotatable strike plate relative to the anvil of the stapler. The stapler includes an indicator window that shows if the stapler is empty or running low on staples and a quick release staple loading magazine that is operable using a single hand.
STAPLER
The invention relates to a stapler (10) for stapling sheet material by means of staples (12), each staple (12) having two staple legs (14) and a staple crown (16) interconnecting the staple legs (14) and extending transversely to them, with an anvil arm (26) having a support plate (38) for placing the sheet material thereon, the anvil arm (26) carrying a cutting pad (40) with two cutting edges (42) for cutting off excess end parts of the staple legs (14), with a stapling unit (30) that is pivotally mounted relative to the anvil arm (26), which stapling unit (30) comprises a staple magazine (32) receiving the staples (12) in a row with the staple crowns (16) mutually abutting and being aligned parallel to each other and a driver (36) for pushing individual staples (12) with the free ends of their staple legs (14) first through the sheet material, with a base part (18), on which the anvil arm (16) is mounted movably towards it against a restoring force, and with two two-armed bending levers (50) pivotably mounted on the anvil arm (26) about a respective pivot axis (52), each bending lever (50) having a first lever arm (54) with a bending surface (56) for bending the staple legs (14) and a second lever arm (58), wherein upon approach of the anvil arm (26) to the base part (18), the second lever arms (58) are pivoted by action of the base part (18) about the pivot axes (52) and the bending surfaces (56) bend the staple legs (14) towards each other and cut off any excess end portions by pressing against the cutting edges (42). According to the invention, it is provided that the pivot axes (52) extend substantially perpendicular to the staple crowns (16) of the staples (12) received in the staple magazine (32) and that the second lever arms (58) have end portions (66) beginning at their free ends (64) which are arranged offset to one another in the axial direction of the pivot axes (52) so that they move past one another as the anvil arm (26) approaches the base part (18).
DEVICE
A device includes a first member having a first surface, and a second member having a second surface that is partially or wholly in contact with the first surface. The first member and the second member are configured to operate relatively. The first member has a flow path of a lubricant that has an opening provided in the first surface.
STAPLER
A stapler includes a staple ejection unit configured to eject a staple and cause the staple to penetrate an object, a stitching unit configured to bend staple legs of the staple penetrating the object, and a driving unit configured to move the staple ejection unit in a direction close to and away from the stitching unit along a first direction indicated by an arrow. The staple ejection unit has an ejection surface from which the staple is ejected, and a base surface located between the ejection surface and the driving unit, the stitching unit has a bending surface facing the ejection surface and configured to bend the staple legs, and the ejection surface protrudes with respect to the base surface in the direction of the bending surface along the first direction.
Binding machine
A binding machine includes: a main handle configured to accommodate a staple; a staple driver supported by the main handle and configured to drive the staple; and a clincher arm rotatably attached to the main handle and including a clincher, the clincher being configured to clinch the staple driven by the staple driver. The staple driver includes: a driving portion that extends in a direction away from the main handle and is configured to drive the staple toward the clincher, and an attachment portion with which the driving portion is attached to the main handle, and the attachment portion extends in a longitudinal direction of the main handle from a side edge of the driving portion.
STAPLER
A stapler includes a staple striking-out unit, a staple leg bending unit, and a connector that connects the staple striking-out unit and the staple leg bending unit. The staple leg bending unit includes a clincher having a guide surface for bending the staple legs, and a clincher guide having a sandwiching portion. The clincher guide is configured to move in a first direction to displace a distance between the guide surface and the sandwiching portion. The clincher is capable of being located at a lower end position where the guide surface is farthest from the sandwiching portion in the first direction. The lower end position is a position where a tip ends of the staple legs are in contact with the guide surface and a gap is formed between an upper surface of the sheet sandwiched by the sandwiching portion and a staple shoulder portion of the staple.
