The stationary blade includes a first transverse edge portion, a second transverse edge portion, and a middle portion. The first transverse edge portion includes a first upper surface extending from a first edge to the upper surface. The second transverse edge portion includes a second upper surface extending from a second edge to the upper surface. The first transverse edge portion and the second transverse edge portion are beveled from the middle portion to the respective edges of the stationary blade. The stationary blade is symmetric about a midline of the middle portion.
STATIONARY BLADE, BLADE SET, AND HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE
The present disclosure relates to a hair cutting appliance (10), a blade set (22; 130; 150; 170) for a hair cutting appliance (10), and to a stationary blade (24) for said blade set (22; 130; 150; 170). Said stationary blade (24) may comprise a first wall portion (70) arranged to serve as a skin facing wall when in operation; a second wall portion (72) at least partially offset from the first wall portion (70), such that the first wall portion (70) and the second wall portion (72) define therebetween a guide slot (74) arranged to receive a movable cutter blade (26); at least one toothed leading edge (32, 34) jointly formed by the first wall portion (70) and the second wall portion (72); wherein a plurality of teeth (38) is provided at the at least one toothed leading edge (32, 34), the teeth (38) comprising a first leg (80) defined by the first wall portion (70) and a second leg (82) defined by the second wall portion (72); wherein the first wall portion (70) and the second wall portion (72) are connected at a frontal end of the at least one toothed leading edge (32, 34), thereby forming tips (66) of the teeth (38); and wherein the teeth (38) are, at their second legs (82), tapered along at least a substantial portion of their longitudinal extension towards a bottom side (64) of the stationary blade (24) facing away from the skin, when in operation.
A MOUNTING ASSEMBLY AND A HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE
According to an aspect, there is provided a mounting assembly (12) for a hair cutting appliance, the mounting assembly comprising a head (16) for receiving a cutting unit (14); and a body (18). The head is mounted to the body by a four-bar linkage (20) having a coupler link (22) associated with the head, a frame link (24) associated with the body, and two arms (26) extending therebetween. The frame link is connected to each arm at respective joins (28), and the coupler link is connected to each arm at respective joins. Pivoting movement of the arms about parallel linkage axes (30) passing through each join permits rotation of the coupler link relative to the frame link about a virtual pivot (32). One of the coupler link and the frame link is a first link coupled to the arms by two-degree-of-freedom joins, thereby permitting the arms and the other of the frame link and the coupler link to further pivot in unison relative to the first link about a rotation axis (34) perpendicular to the linkage axes.
CUTTER SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRIC BEARD TRIMMER
The present invention relates to cutting body hair such as beard stubbles of multidays' beard. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cutter system for an electric shaver and/or trimmer, comprising an inner cutting element and an outer cutting element forming a pair of cooperating cutting elements with at least one row of comb-like outer cutting teeth extending parallel to a first axis (I), wherein said cutting elements are movably supported relative to each other. Skin irritation may be reduced by the at least one row of comb-like outer cutting teeth having, at a position of 0.2 mm away from the tip, a ratio between tooth width in a direction perpendicular to said first axis (I) and width of an opening slot between two adjacent teeth between 1.0 and 2.0.
Stationary blade, blade set, and hair cutting appliance
A hair cutting appliance includes a stationary blade having a first wall portion arranged to serve as a skin facing wall when in operation; and a second wall portion offset from the first wall portion such that the first and second wall portions a guide slot that receives a movable cutter blade. A toothed leading edge is jointly formed by the first and second wall portions. Teeth at the toothed leading edge include a first leg defined by the first wall portion, and a second leg defined by the second wall portion. The first and second wall portions are connected at a frontal end of the toothed leading edge, thereby forming tips of the teeth. The second legs of the teeth are tapered along a portion of their longitudinal extension towards a bottom side of the stationary blade facing away from the skin, when in operation.
