A bread slicer includes: a slicer housing, accommodating a slicing blade rotatable in a slicing plane, the slicer housing including: a feed chute for introducing the loaf into the bread slicer; and a receiving chute, which adjoins the feed chute except for a blade gap; and a bagging aid configured for slipping packaging over the bagging aid together with the slices of the sliced loaf resting thereon, the bagging aid having a cantilevered portion. External dimensions of the feed chute parallel to the slicing plane are greater than or equal to maximum external dimensions in directions of loaves to be sliced. External dimensions of the cantilevered portion parallel to the slicing plane are smaller than external dimensions of the feed chute parallel to the slicing plane. The receiving chute is the bagging aid having the cantilevered portion and is inside a cover of the slicer housing.

Bread Slicer

A bread slicer includes an infeed side and a hollow infeed assembly positioned in the infeed side, the infeed assembly having an open end and a closed end defining a chamber for receiving bread to be sliced. The bread slicer further includes a pusher for pushing the bread to be sliced along the infeed assembly, and a linkage connected to the pusher, the linkage adapted to move the infeed assembly from a bread receiving position to a predetermined position of a bread path, the linkage adapted to then move the pusher and the bread to be sliced along the bread path from the predetermined position to a delivery area. The bread slicer further includes slicing blades having sharp edges to slice bread moving along the bread path.

A bread slicer includes an controller configured to cause claws to reach into an end-face securing portion, which is elongated in the direction of a connecting axis, of a loaf introduced into a feed chute, cause the loaf to be transported into a receiving chute over a blade gap, and cause a slicing blade to travel into the blade gap multiple times automatically during the transportation in order to cut off one slice from the loaf each time, and the slicing blade then moving fully back out of the blade gap again in order to allow each cut-off slice to be transported onward into the receiving chute and to allow the rest of the unsliced loaf to be transported onward over the blade gap. The receiving chute is above the feed chute. The connecting axis between the feed and receiving chute is vertically inclined by at least 30°.

A bread slicer is provided with an input compartment for a loaf of bread and a set of blades designed for cutting a loaf of bread and cooperating with a push block, which enables the loaf to be pushed through the set of blades to an output table. The output table has a bag holder for keeping open a packing bag with the opening facing the set of blades, the push block being arranged to push at least a part of the sliced loaf so as to introduce it at least partially in the packing bag.

Weight variation method as well as slicing machine for its operation

In order to avoid underweight of slices when slicing a loaf into slices, thickness adjustments specified for slicing are adjusted depending on different pre-known parameters, from loaf to loaf and/or from slice to slice within one and the same loaf, preferably also across the boundary between two loaves optimized as early as possible so that existing weight conditions with regard to actual weight of the slices are maintained, in particular no more underweight slices are produced and/or the minimum average weight of the slices required for the entire batch is maintained.
