The invention relates to a component made from a material consisting predominantly of renewable raw materials, the component having at least one hole with a longitudinal axis (A) and the material being locally compressed in the region peripherally adjoining the hole. According to the method, at least one pin, which comprises a substantially cylindrical shaft and a tip having a reducing diameter in the direction of the component, penetrates into the material, thus creating a hole in the component, and displaces the wood material radially and/or axially, so that the material in the region surrounding the hole is compressed. The tool used for carrying out the method is designed in the form of at least one pin having a cylindrical or polygonal shaft and a tip reducing in diameter in the direction of the component.

Veneer sheet conveying apparatus and method of controlling the same
When a veneer conveyed out by a discharging conveyor is a product veneer, a sorting apparatus is rotationally driven to pierce the product veneer with needle-like bodies by a guide member and a push-up member (a rolling bearing). When the veneer conveyed out by the discharging conveyor is a trash veneer, the sorting apparatus is rotationally driven so that the trash veneer is not pierced by the needle-like body. With this configuration, the progress of the abrasion of the needle-like bodies can be delayed as compared with the configuration in which the product veneer and the trash veneer are both pierced by the needle-like body. As a result, the time to replace the needle-like bodies can be extended, whereby the running cost can be reduced.
Edge strip and method for its manufacture
An edge strip for pieces of furniture including a main body with an underside that can be attached to a piece of furniture and an upper side facing away from the underside, wherein the upper side has at least one transition section sloping down towards an edge of the main body. In order to enable an improved visual impression of the edge strip in the transition section, the transition section slopes down in a stepped manner towards the edge of the main body, wherein the transition section has at least two steps, each with an upper side surface and an edge side surface per step, wherein the upper side surfaces are aligned independently of one another in relation to the underside and wherein the edge side surfaces are inclined independently of one another in relation to the underside.
VENEER SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
When a veneer conveyed out by a discharging conveyor is a product veneer, a sorting apparatus is rotationally driven to pierce the product veneer with needle-like bodies by a guide member and a push-up member (a rolling bearing). When the veneer conveyed out by the discharging conveyor is a trash veneer, the sorting apparatus is rotationally driven so that the trash veneer is not pierced by the needle-like body. With this configuration, the progress of the abrasion of the needle-like bodies can be delayed as compared with the configuration in which the product veneer and the trash veneer are both pierced by the needle-like body. Edge Strip and Method for Its Manufacture
The present invention discloses an edge strip (1,1) for pieces of furniture comprising a main body (2) with an underside (3) that can be attached to a piece of furniture and an upper side (4) facing away from the underside (3), wherein the upper side (4) has at least one transition section (5) sloping down towards an edge of the main body (2). In order to enable an improved visual impression of the edge strip (1, 1) in the transition section, it is provided that the transition section (5) slopes down in a step-like manner towards the edge of the main body (2), wherein the transition section (5) has at least two steps, each with an upper side surface (6, 6a) and an edge side surface (7) per step, wherein the upper side surfaces (6, 6a) is aligned independently of one another in relation to the underside (3) such that the smallest angles of the upper side surfaces (6, 6a) in relation to the underside (3) are each on average from 45 to 75, in particular from 45 to 45 and wherein the edge side surfaces (7) is inclined independently of one another in relation to the underside (3) such that the smallest angles of the edge side surfaces (7) in relation to the underside (3) are each on average from 20 to less than 90, in particular from 46 to less than 90, in particular up to 80.
Element and method for providing dismantling groove
A method for providing a dismantling groove in an element for a product to be assembled by a plurality of elements locked by a locking arrangement including a flexible tongue is disclosed. The method includes providing an insertion groove and a dismantling groove in the same element. The dismantling groove extends along the element between a first side and a second side and is configured for receiving the flexible tongue of the locking arrangement for locking the element to another element having a tongue groove. The dismantling groove is provided in the element such that it extends from the first side to the insertion groove and along a portion of the insertion groove, and is configured to receive a dismantling tool for dismantling the element from the other element. An element with an insertion groove and a dismantling groove is also disclosed.
System and method for plank processing
System and method for producing resilient planks are described. A die punch press is provided to receive and die punch resilient slabs into planks. Die punching the resilient slabs into plural planks can sometimes create a deformity on at least one bottom edge of the plank. The planks are then automatically conveyed from the die punch press to a shaping tool. The shaping tool receives individual planks and forms at least one bevel in the respective plank removing the deformity. The planks can then be stacked and prepared for shipping.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PLANK PROCESSING
System and method for producing resilient planks are described. A die punch press is provided to receive and die punch resilient slabs into planks. Die punching the resilient slabs into plural planks can sometimes create a deformity on at least one bottom edge of the plank. The planks are then automatically conveyed from the die punch press to a shaping tool. The shaping tool receives individual planks and forms at least one bevel in the respective plank removing the deformity. The planks can then be stacked and prepared for shipping.
