Ferromagnetic items (e.g., tags, bands, labels containing iron/steel powder) are attached to selected non-ferromagnetic apparatus (e.g., plastic bottles, plastic bags) so that a magnetic device can be used to sort out the non-ferromagnetic apparatus to which the ferromagnetic item is attached.

METHOD FOR SEPARATION OF A PLASTIC ARTICLE

The invention relates to a method for separation of a polymeric article comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer, and at least one other constituent, wherein said separation method comprises: a step of contacting the polymeric article with a liquid medium suitable for propagating shock waves, and a step of applying a pulsed field to the liquid medium, so as to generate shock waves capable of dividing the polymeric article at an interface between the thermoplastic polymer and the other constituent.

CARBON FIBER RECYCLING METHOD

The present disclosure relates to a carbon fiber recycling method utilizing a microwave to recycle a carbon fiber from a carbon fiber polymer composite. The carbon fiber recycling method comprise a composite providing step, an oxygen lowering step, a microwave processing step, a gas replacing step and a carbon fiber recycling step. By radiating the microwave on the carbon fiber polymer composite, energy of the microwave is quickly absorbed by the carbon fiber to quickly increase a temperature of the carbon fiber, and the carbon fiber polymer composite is effectively and quickly decomposed to remove most polymer matrix of the carbon fiber polymer composite, so as to achieve the objective of recycling the carbon fiber indeed.

METHOD FOR RECOVERING PULP FIBERS FROM USED ABSORBENT ARTICLES

Provided is a method for efficiently recovering pulp fibers with a high degree of safety and without detriment to the performance of the pulp fibers, from used absorbent articles such as disposable diapers containing pulp fibers and a super absorbent polymer. This method comprises: a step for extracting a mixture of pulp fibers, super absorbent polymer and water from used absorbent articles; a step of using a pair of electrodes to apply a voltage to the mixture of pulp fibers, super absorbent polymer and water to deactivate the super absorbent polymer; and a step for separating pulp fibers from the mixture of pulp fibers, deactivated super polymer and water.

PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY OF RAW MATERIAL FROM WASTE PRODUCTS

The process (1) for the recovery of raw material from waste products comprises at least the phases of: supply (A) of one skein to be treated (3) composed of a harmonic steel fraction and a non-ferrous fraction; pre-treatment (F) of the skein to be treated (3) to separate the harmonic steel fraction from the non-ferrous fraction to obtain one treated skein (3b), comprising one step of mechanical separation (F1) of the harmonic steel fraction from the non-ferrous fraction; heat treatment (B) of the pre-treated skein (3 a) to obtain one treated skein (3b), the phase of heat treatment (B) comprising a step of inductive exposure (B1) of the pre-treated skein (3a) to one time-varying magnetic field, the step of inductive exposure (B1) being adapted to raise the temperature of the pre-treated skein (3 a) to one working temperature below 800 C.; post-treatment (E) of the treated skein (3b).
