Carbon fiber recycling system and method of operation
A method and apparatus for obtaining carbon fiber from carbon fiber waste (e.g., pre-preg and CFP waste). The method and apparatus selects, or is controlled to select, between using an oxygen free pyrolytic process to volatilize the epoxy resin or other matrix in which the fibers are held to liberate the fibers therefrom and, depending upon the type of pre-preg waste, using a reactor environment where the reactor atmosphere has about 1% to about 2% oxygen by volume. The reactor has a counterflow such that the carbon fibers are moved in one direction and the off gasses are moved in the opposite direction. A combination of steam at the reactor outlet and vacuum pressure at the reactor inlet create the counter flow.
Functionalization of foreign material in lyocell-methods
Method of manufacturing a regenerated cellulosic molded body, wherein the method comprises supplying a starting material which comprises cellulose and at least one foreign matter, transferring at least a part of the starting material with at least a part of the at least one foreign matter into a spinning mass which additionally contains a solvent for solving at least a part of the cellulose of the starting material in the solvent, and extruding the spinning mass to the molded body, and subsequently precipitating in a spinning bath, wherein thereby the molded body is obtained, wherein the molded body comprises cellulose and at least a part of the at least one foreign matter.
Process for the production of an additive for bituminous conglomerates with high mechanical performances
The present invention refers to a process for the production of an additive composition intended to be mixed into a bituminous conglomerate for road paving. The process includes grinding a mixed waste material containing a mixture of plastic materials, which includes at least one plastic material based on a polyolefin thermoplastic material, washing the ground mixed waste material and separating a portion of low-density material which contains the plastic material based on a polyolefin thermoplastic polymer from the mixed waste material. This portion of low-density material is then ground to a particle size between 10 mm and 20 mm; and then mixed with a material based on polyvinyl butyral. The resultant mixture is further ground to produce an additive composition having a particle size between 4 mm and 6 mm.
FUNCTIONALIZATION OF FOREIGN MATTERS IN LYOCELL-METHODS AND MOLDED BODIES THEREOF
A regenerated cellulosic molded body of cellulose and at least a part of at least one foreign matter, and is produced by supplying a starting material which comprises cellulose and at least one foreign matter, transferring at least a part of the starting material with at least a part of the at least one foreign matter into a spinning mass which additionally contains a solvent for solving at least a part of the cellulose of the starting material in the solvent, and extruding the spinning mass to the molded body, and subsequently precipitating in a spinning bath.
METHOD FOR THE SELECTION AND SEPARATION OF POLYMERS ORIGINATING FROM URBAN AND/OR INDUSTRIAL PLASTIC WASTE
The present invention concerns a method for the selection and separation of polymers originating from urban and/or industrial plastic waste to obtain plastic materials for recycling which comprises a first step of supplying a mixture of polymers composed of flakes of polymers having dimensions ranging from 6 to 100 mm; a step of identification by means of near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy of the flakes of coloured and white plastic material and the flakes of black plastic material and subsequent separation from one other; several consecutive steps of identification by means of NIR spectroscopy of the different types of polymer from the coloured and white plastic material and subsequent separation of said polymer types.
PARTICULATE PLASTIC SOLIDS HANDLING APPARATUS AND METHODS
Facilities and systems for handling of particulate plastic solids obtained from a mixed waste plastic separation system are provided. The facilities comprise at least one enclosed structure and an elongate overhead conveyor associated with the at least one enclosed structure that is configured to selectively deposit the particulate plastic solids into a plastic solids transport system that interconnects the handling facility and a plastic chemical recycling facility and/or at least one inventory pile within the at least one enclosed structure.
PIPE COATING REMOVAL APPARATUS
A pipe coating removal apparatus (1) for removing all or some of the coating on a pipe, the pipe coating removal apparatus (1) having a pipe support means (2) for supporting a length of pipe. and further having a tool carriage (3). The tool carriage (3) being capable of supporting two or more different types of pipe coating removal tools (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (80), (81), (82) and/or (70). The pipe coating removal apparatus (1) being capable of causing relative movement between the tool carriage (3) and the pipe support means (2) to remove all or some of the coating on the pipe that is supportable by the pipe support means (2).
Method and system for recovering filler material
A method of recovering filler material from a polymer material comprises (a) heating the polymer material to a first temperature; (b) heating the polymer material to a second temperature higher than the first temperature resulting in a pyrolyzed material; (c) elutriating the pyrolyzed material to obtain a separated mixture; and (d) filtering the separated mixture to obtain the filler material.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PET STARTING MATERIAL THAT IS SUITABLE FOR USE IN AN EXTRUSION BLOW MOLDING METHOD, AND HOLLOW ARTICLE PRODUCED IN THE EXTRUSION BLOW MOLDING METHOD
The invention relates to a method for producing an EBM bottle with 0.90 to 1.5 dL/g from a bottle-grade PET post-consumer recycling flake, i.e., a recycled, post-consumer PET with a viscosity of 0.65 to 0.84 dL/g, using extrusion processes, solid state polycondensation processes, and a blowing process.
