QUALITY VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR MEASUREMENT OF RAW MATERIALS IN CONTINUOUS METERING PROCESSES
The invention relates to a system (100) for measurement quality verification (MQV) that forms part of an installation (10) located at a site that manufactures rubber mixtures, the system including: a weighing platform (102) having a scale (104) for determining a weight loss of the metered raw materials; a metering device (106) including: a metering hopper (108) that receives the raw materials required for performing one or more rubber mixing processes; and a metering means that meters the raw materials into the metering hopper in real time; an application and removal system that allows for application and removal of one or more calibration weights (118) relative to the weighing platform (102); and a motion system that facilitates reciprocating vertical movement of the metering device. The invention also relates to an installation (10) that incorporates the disclosed system and to a continuous metering process performed by the installation.

A method of forming a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) alloy having talc includes: providing a feed of the PET/talc mixture (PET/talc feed); providing a feed of PET (PET feed); mixing the feed of PET with the feed of PET/talc in a mixer to form a PET alloy having from about 1% (w/w) talc to about 50% talc (w/w); and providing the PET alloy as output.

Method and mixing plant for the batch-based production of a flowable coating material
Disclosed is a method for the batch-based manufacture of a flowable coating material, in particular water-based or solvent-containing paint, from a plurality of components. The method includes feeding batch components into a process mixing container, mixing the components in the process mixing container to form a mixture having a preliminary composition, transferring at least part of the mixture having the preliminary composition from the process mixing container into a reception container, ascertaining an actual state of the mixture having the preliminary composition during transfer into the reception container, determining a deviation of the actual state of the mixture having the preliminary composition from a predefined setpoint state, ascertaining an adjustment quantity for the components required to reach the setpoint state, and topping up the adjustment quantity of the components into the preliminary mixture, while the preliminary mixture is being transferred from the process mixing container into the reception container.
PROCESS FOR FEEDING PLASTIC WASTE MATERIAL TO A THERMOCHEMICAL OR PYROLYSIS REACTOR
Process for feeding plastic material, e.g. a plastic waste, to a processor such as a thermochemical reactor, e.g. a pyrolysis reactor. The process comprises an optional shredder or disintegrator (1), a conveying system (2), a feed hopper (3) with a lock hopper or rotary valve, a melting tank (6) with an agitator (5) followed by a melt pump (7) for the delivery of molten plastic to the processor. The advantage of the current process includes the ability to supply a consistent, metered flow to the processor, independent of the recycled plastic's melt properties, or the form or particle size and distribution of the plastic material.

The gap between a first meshing-type rotor and a second meshing-type rotor is small, a material is compressed to enter the space between the first meshing-type rotor and the second meshing-type rotor to be extruded with an internal mixing chamber wall. The material is flaky in the internal mixing chamber, so that the material produces great strain deformation, thereby achieving excellent dispersing and mixing effects.

A thermokinetic mixer for melt mixing plastics waste includes a housing enclosing a mixing chamber, and a shaft protruding through the mixing chamber and connectable to a drive unit. In the mixing chamber, Y-shaped mixing blades protrude radially from the shaft, wherein the free end of the mixing blades protruding into the mixing chamber is cuboid, and the end opposite the free end of the mixing blades has two legs in each case having at least one through bore. The shaft has polygonal recesses, in which recesses the legs can be fastened by a fastener protruding through the through bores.

A method for processing pharmaceutical powders, which comprises providing a feeder module including a plurality of feeder units each with a storage hopper, a weighing cell, a conveyer, and a discharge end, connecting the storage hopper to a refilling system with a refilling valve, connecting the refilling valve to a level or weight indicator disposed above the refilling valve, connecting the discharge end to a common receiving container, refilling the storage hopper with a powder intermittently 40 to 80 times per hour, storing data during refilling, transporting powder from the storage hopper with the respective conveyer, and discharging powder from each feeder unit into the common receiving container. During each refilling of the storage hopper, the refilling valve dispenses powder into the storage hopper and, during the step of transporting the powder from the storage hopper, the conveyer is operated according to the data collected during previous refills.
