Techniques for manufacturing and cooling three-dimensional objects
A method of manufacturing three-dimensional (3D) objects is provided. The method includes generating a plan for printing a plurality of 3D objects in a 3D printing medium at least in part by identifying an unprinted area of the 3D printing medium for insertion of a cooling device and determining where at least some of the plurality of 3D objects are to be printed in the 3D printing medium such that none of the at least some of the plurality of 3D objects, when printed, intersect the identified unprinted area for the insertion of the cooling device. The method further includes printing, using a 3D printer, the at least some of the plurality of 3D objects in accordance with the plan and, after the printing, inserting the cooling device into the unprinted area of the 3D printing medium and cooling the 3D printing medium using the cooling device.
Method for post-treating and a post-treatment system
A method for post-treating a three-dimensional object produced by selectively solidifying, layer by layer, of a building material in powder form and/or post-treating unsolidified building material in which the three-dimensional object is embedded. The three-dimensional object and/or the unsolidified building material may be treated with a liquid. The liquid may comprises a liquid carrier substance and at least one further substance that reduces surface tension of the carrier substance.
Print head for three-dimensional printing and the print head assembly
The object of the invention is a print head for three-dimensional printing comprising an extrusion assembly (1) functionally coupled to a drive assembly (3), and a nozzle assembly (2), functionally coupled to the extrusion assembly (1), providing filament (10) transfer, wherein there is a cooling assembly (18) disposed between the extrusion assembly (1) and the drive assembly (2), containing a fluid cooling system, comprising an inlet (15), an outlet (17) and a system of cooling ducts (14) disposed inside the cooling assembly (18), distributing the cooling medium (11), providing maintenance of the preset temperature of the extrusion assembly (1) and the drive assembly (3). The object of the invention is also a print head assembly.
Repair of refillable or reusable polymer-based packaging
This disclosure provides economical and effective methods and apparatus for repairing scratches and scuffs on refillable bottle surfaces that minimally contaminates the bottle during the refurbishing process. In one aspect, the method comprises the steps of: a) adding at least one fluid into the polymeric packaging material such as a bottle to form at least a partially filled packaging material; and b) applying at least one heat source to an exterior surface of the at least partially filled packaging material to form a repaired polymeric packaging material. Apparatus and recycling systems that incorporate this method are also disclosed.
Three-dimensional object generation
An apparatus and method for generating a three-dimensional object. The apparatus includes a build material area, at least one agent distributor with a fluid reservoir to store fluid agent and at least one fluid ejection die to selectively eject fluid agent in the build material area. A cooling system to remove heat from the at least one fluid ejection die has a heat sink. The at least one fluid ejection die is in thermal contact with the heat sink via the fluid agent of the fluid reservoir.
A METHOD FOR POST-TREATING AND A POST-TREATMENT SYSTEM
A method for post-treating a three-dimensional object (2) produced by selectively solidifying, layer by layer, of a building material (15) in powder form and/or unsolidified building material (13) in which the three-dimensional object (2) is embedded, wherein the three-dimensional object (2) produced and/or the unsolidified building material (13) are treated with a liquid (33). The liquid (33) comprises a liquid carrier substance and at least one further substance that reduces the surface tension of the carrier substance.

Liquid-cooled fused filament fabrication nozzle
The present invention provides an integral cooling system within an FFF nozzle manifold. The system includes a cooling reservoir formed within the body of the nozzle manifold, adapted to circulate a cooling liquid around the filament chamber and nozzle orifice. The coolant channel is situated to be in close physical proximity to the chamber and orifice, and to be thermally coupled to both via the body of the nozzle manifold. In addition, the interior of the cooling chamber is constructed so as to maximize the available surface area within a given cross-sectional geometry, thereby promoting increase heat transfer between the nozzle manifold and the cooling liquid.
