POLISHING LAYER, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND POLISHING METHOD

A manufacturing method of a polishing layer is provided. First, a mold for which the mold cavity has a contour pattern is provided, and the cross section of the contour pattern along a direction includes a plurality of recessions and at least one concavity portion, wherein the at least one concavity portion is disposed on the bottom of at least one of the recessions. A polymer material is disposed in the mold cavity. The polymer material is cured to form a semifinished product, wherein the cross section of the semifinished product along the direction includes a plurality of polishing portions corresponding to the recessions and at least one protruding portion corresponding to the at least one concavity portion. A flattening process is performed on the semifinished product to remove the at least one protruding portion.

Spill resistant disposable travel cup lid
09833960 · 2017-12-05 ·

A disposable drink-through dome lid for disposable drinking cups used in the sale of hot or cold beverages, the top of the lid elevated above the top of the beverage cup when in place. The lid's outer wall is elevated to form a drink ridge adapted to the user's lips for drinking through a generally oval-shaped drink-through orifice. Ideally, the drink-through orifice includes: a drink-through chamber having a drink flap capable of closing off a drink-through opening, thereby shielding against accidental spillage due to sloshing of the beverage while traveling; and a recessed orifice ridge on the interior side of the drink-through orifice, directs froth exiting the drink opening into a spill reservoir. A vent opening positioned near the lid's center and within a vent slot, collects and directs beverage exiting the vent into the spill reservoir.

Textured Core Sheets for Fluid Drainage Unit

A core sheet includes a primary textured surface and separate secondary cuspations or corrugations. The core sheets are configured for use within a fluid or wastewater treatment unit that typically includes one or more fabric layers. The primary textured surface enhances retention of wastewater fluid received by the unit, which over time causes an increase in build-up of biomatter on the surface, which in turn enhances the efficacy of treatment of the wastewater. An inline process of making the core sheet includes extrusion forming a smooth flat sheet from raw polymeric material and immediately feeding the smooth flat sheet through texturizing rollers, followed by rolling flat textured sheets. Cuspations are added to the flat textured sheets, optionally at a different site, and then cut to preferred dimensions for incorporation into a wastewater unit.

MULTI-STAGE PRESSING PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A MOLDED PART SUCH AS A BIPOLAR PLATE FROM A HIGHLY FILLED THERMOSETTING MATERIAL

A process for producing a molded part from a highly filled thermosetting starting material including: introducing the starting material into a prepressing tool; producing a preform from the starting material, the starting material being brought to a prepressing temperature by the prepressing tool and being compressed with a prepressing force to form the preform; removing the preform from the prepressing tool and introducing the preform into a finish pressing tool; and producing a finished part from the preform, the preform being brought to a finish pressing temperature by the finish pressing tool and being compressed with a finish pressing force to form the finished part. Here, the prepressing temperature is lower than the finish pressing temperature and the finish pressing temperature is at least as high as an onset temperature of a curing reaction of the starting material.

FORMING DEVICE AND FORMING METHOD

Provided is a forming device including: a lower die; an upper die for forming a laminated body along the surface shape of the lower die by pressing the laminated body against the lower die; a pushing force generating mechanism that generates pushing force for pressing the upper die against the lower die; and a control unit that controls the pushing force generating mechanism, the upper die has a plurality of forming members aligned in the longitudinal direction, the pushing force generating mechanism has a plurality of pushing force generating units connected to the plurality of forming members and configured to generate pushing force for pressing the forming members against the lower die, and the control unit controls the plurality of pushing force generating units so as to press a pair of forming members arranged adjacent in the longitudinal direction toward the lower die at different timings from each other.
