EXTERIOR TRIM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
An exterior trim for a motor vehicle has a body that forms a surface of the exterior trim. The body has an exterior surface and an interior surface, and defines a recess or cut-out. The body has a single undulating wall formed on the interior surface of the body substantially perpendicular to a plane defined by the body, and the single undulating wall at least partially surrounds the recess or cut-out. The exterior trim also includes a human-machine interface (HMI) device disposed at least partially within the recess or cut-out of the body. The HMI device may be used to externally control certain features of the motor vehicle.
Molded multi-component goggle outrigger
Manufacturing methods are described for a goggle having an outrigger system where each outrigger includes a first segment coupled to a second segment at a fixed joint. Portions of the first segment may interlock or join with complementary portions of the second segment, such as through interlocking shapes, a solid friction lock, or via co-molding. The joining portions of the first and second segments may include complementary shapes that interlock together to secure the first and second segments together. The second segment may be molded onto or around at least a portion of the first segment, or vice versa, to secure the first and second segments together.

A method for producing an injection-moulded plastic component made of a plastic having at least one recess for accommodating sensors, having the following steps: producing the injection-moulded plastic component in a mould having top and bottom mould halves; raising the top mould half and introducing a thermoregulatable ram which is guided in a sleeve; placing the sleeve with integrated annular space on the surface of the injection-moulded component, to form an annular bead in the annular space; pressing the thermoregulated ram into the surface of the injection-moulded component; and cooling the ram and raising it from the surface.

The first attachment includes a generally elongated body extending outwardly from the first wall with respect to the first support surface, the first wall further including at least one indent, the at least one indent formed on the first wall and open to a peripheral side edge of the elongated body, the indent extending into the wall a predetermined depth so as to provide the elongated body with a predetermined resiliency.

A method for manufacturing a composite part (100) for covering, sealing, trimming, or retaining a component of a vehicle, wherein the composite part (100) has a main body (110) with a vehicle side surface (111) and is made of a first polymer, and has a mounting pin (130) configured to engage in a form fitting manner and is made of a second polymer, wherein the second polymer has a higher formability than the first polymer, comprises the steps of extrusion molding of the main body (110) and injection molding of the mounting pin (130). This is done in such a manner that the mounting pin (130) is being integrally bonded to the main body (110) on the side of the vehicle side surface (111).
Resin molded article
Provided is a resin molded article which makes it possible to prevent breakage of a resin and collar loss at joint sections. A resin molded article (1) is formed by resin injection, and comprises a main body (2) and a joint section (3) integrally formed at an outer wall surface (4) of the main body (2) and having a cylindrical section (11) configured to insert therethrough the joint member for attaching the main body (2) to a mating member (6). The joint section (3) is formed to be asymmetric about a perpendicular plane (19) which passes through the central axis (18) of the cylindrical sections (11), and is perpendicular to the outer wall surface (4) of the main body (2).
Prosthetic penile implants with tethered rear tip extenders and related methods
Rear tip extenders having a tether attached to a collar for penile implants that can be mounted onto a respective cylinder forward of a fluid line (that communicates with a scrotal pump) to prevent full separation or detachment from the cylinder during a revision procedure can be fabricated by molding. The fabrication methods include: providing a mold with a mold cavity configured to define three attached members of defined shapes, including a rear tip extender, a collar and a tether attaching the rear tip extender and collar; and flowably introducing moldable material into the mold cavity to form the collar, rear tip extender and attached tether as a molded assembly.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PLASTIC COMPONENT AND PLASTIC COMPONENT
In order to provide a method for producing a plastics component by means of which a plastics component having at least one fastening portion for fastening at least one fastening element is producible simply, it is proposed that the method should include producing a base body of the plastics component and at least one fastening portion of the base body in a single method step by means of a moulding tool, wherein the fastening portion includes at least one receiving opening into which a fastening element is introducible in a direction of introduction, for the purpose of fixing it to the fastening portion, wherein the fastening portion includes at least one undercut portion which adjoins the receiving opening in the direction of introduction and to which the fastening element is fixable with positive engagement for the purpose of fixing it in opposition to the direction of introduction.
