An apparatus is configured to be positioned between a boss and a shell of a pressure vessel. The boss includes a bore therethrough, and the bore has a longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes an annular body and a gas permeable feature. The annular body includes an inner surface configured to abut the boss and an outer surface configured to abut the shell. The annular body has opposite first and second ends relative to the longitudinal axis. The gas permeable feature is provided on the inner surface and extends at least from the first end to the second end. The disclosure also describes a pressure vessel including a shell, and boss, and an apparatus positioned between the boss and the shell. A method for forming a pressure vessel includes mounting a boss on a mandrel, positioning an annular fitting about a neck of the boss, forming a liner, and forming an outer shell.

A cushioned article includes a cage and a compressible material. The cage has at least one opening, an interior volume, and an outer surface. The at least one opening provides a passage from the outer surface to the interior volume. The compressible material extends through the at least one opening in the cage. A method for manufacturing a cushioned article includes providing a mold having at least one cavity, placing a cage within the mold, and injecting a compressible material into an interior of the cage. The cage includes at least one opening. A portion of the compressible material flows through the at least one opening in the cage and fills the at least one cavity of the mold. One or more shields may be connected to the cage before injection. The shields may be removed with the cage and heat treated with the shields still connected to the cage.

RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE AND COLLAR MEMBER
A resin molded article includes a collar member which is fitted to each of a first fixing part and a second fixing part by insert molding. The collar member is constituted of a rolled collar made of steel and includes a tubular body and an entrance path which guides injection of resin to inside of the tubular body during insert molding. The collar member of a same type is insert-molded to each of the first fixing part and the second fixing part. The first fixing part and the second fixing part respectively include a first mounting hole and a second mounting hole formed by resin injected to the inside of the tubular body via the entrance path.

This manufacturing process of a composite part (B), including a stamped body (11, 12) and an injected polymer material part (14), includes steps consisting of: a) placing a blank (1) of a body (11, 12) between a support (456) and a mold (31, 32), such that the said hollow part forms a pattern cavity (33) communicating with an opening (13) going through the blank (1); b) stamping the blank (1) using a punch (8); c) placing the holder (456) in a position in which it defines with the blank (1) at least one cavity (400) and in which there is at least one injection runner (50-60) leading to the said cavity (400). d) injecting the polymer material through the injection runner (50-60), said cavity (400) and said opening (13), so as to fill the said pattern cavity (33); and e) removing the composite part (B) from the mold.

According to embodiments, provided is a support manufacturing method comprising the steps of: forming a first injection-molded product by using a first material; injecting a second material into at least a portion of the first injection-molded product; forming a second injection-molded product including a hollow by discharging the second material from the first injection-molded product; and forming a third injection-molded product by covering at least a portion of the outer surface of the second injection-molded product with a third material.
