INJECTION MOLDED HOSE CONNECTIONS FOR BLOW MOLDED TUBES
A hose cell assembly system for fabricating hoses with integrated hose connections is disclosed. The hose cell assembly system includes an injection mold; and an injection molding machine configured to form an integrated hose connection onto an end of a plastic tubing using an injection molding process using the injection mold, where the plastic tubing is formed by a blow molding process.
Method of forming a headrest assembly
A method of forming a headrest assembly includes providing a first mold that encloses a first cavity in a closed condition. A support is positioned in the first cavity. A first material is blow molded into the first cavity and around a portion of the support to form a core part. The core part and support are removed from the first mold. A second mold encloses a second cavity in a closed condition. The core part and the support are placed into the second mold in an open condition. A fluid is injected into the core part through the support. The second mold is converted to the closed condition. A second material is injection molded into the second cavity and around the core part to form an outer shell around the core part. A fluid is withdrawn from the core part through the support.
Vehicle interior handle with encapsulated core and corresponding method of manufacture
One general aspect includes a method of manufacturing a handle, the method including: providing a core element; providing a mold; strategically positioning the core element within the mold such that a formable material can be injected into the mold (when in a molten state) to operatively encapsulate the core element and such that the core element remains stationary while being operatively encapsulated by the formable material; and injecting the formable material (when in the molten state) into the mold to operatively encapsulate the core element and be formed, by the mold, into a handle configured to be joined to a window support pillar of a vehicle interior.

MOLDED TANKS FORMED OF MULTIPLE MATERIALS
A method of forming a molded tank configured to hold fluid in a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes providing a tank shell having a first material and creating a composite shell using a skeleton structure having a second material onto the tank shell, the second material different than the first material. The second material has a maximum operating temperature that is greater than a maximum operating temperature of the first material. Other examples methods of forming molded tanks and tanks configured to hold fluid in vehicles are also disclosed.
