Provided is an injection mold and a method of injection molding having a molding core system. The molding core system including a plurality of co-operable components manipulable between a first molding position at which the core system is fully deployed and a second position in which the core system is configured to axially retract and radially contract into a second drawing position, the outer shape of said core system being substantially complementary to the inner shape of the molded article.

FIBER REINFORCED PLENUM FOR LIMITED-SLIP DIFFERENTIAL

A net-shaped composite plenum housing body for a differential assembly having a pump is disclosed. The plenum housing body can include a low pressure inlet and a high pressure outlet configured to receive a control valve. The plenum housing body can also define a fluid inlet channel in fluid communication with the low pressure inlet via a first internal port and can be configured to be in fluid communication with an inlet side of the pump when the plenum housing body is assembled onto the differential assembly. The plenum housing body can also define a fluid outlet channel in fluid communication with the high pressure outlet via a second internal port and can be configured to be in fluid communication with an outlet side of the pump when the plenum housing body is assembled onto the differential assembly. The plenum housing body can also be formed as a net-shape fiber reinforced plastic material including chopped fibers, for example, chopped fiberglass fibers, and an epoxy resin.

A catheter includes: a catheter shaft; and a hub on a proximal side of the catheter shaft. The catheter shaft includes a shaft inner surface inclined portion at a proximal portion, the diameter of which increases proximally such that the shaft inner surface inclined portion forms an angle with the catheter central axis. The hub includes a first hub inner surface inclined portion continuous from the shaft inner surface inclined portion and inclined at the same inclination angle as the shaft inner surface inclined portion, and a second hub inner surface inclined portion proximal of the first hub inner surface inclined portion. The second hub inner surface inclined portion inclination angle differs from the first hub inner surface inclined portion inclination angle. The hub does not cover an inner peripheral surface of the catheter shaft in an interlock portion in which the catheter shaft and the hub are interlocked together.

Mold and method for molding a body or cap for a connector

A mold for molding a body or cap for a connector. The mold comprises a mold body (1) and an axial core (2) which together define a mold cavity in the shape of the body or cap. The core has a sleeve (3) and an inner pin (4) each having complementary castellations (8, 10) which interdigitate in a first configuration. In the first configuration, the castellations (8, 10) are arranged such that respective recesses (11) are formed each bound by the proximal end of a first castellation (8) and the side walls of adjacent second castellations (10). Each recess has a shape to form a respective first portion of the body or cap. The sleeve (3) and inner pin (4) are axially movable to a second configuration in which the castellations (8, 10) are disengaged from one another. The inner pin (4) is rotatable to a third configuration in which the first castellations (8) can be axially withdrawn following a path occupied by the second castellations (10) in the first configuration.

MOLDING METHOD AND MOLDING DEVICE

This molding method involves: a first step in which a perforation pin (2) is made to protrude into a cavity (13) in a mold (1); a second step in which a molten resin (16) is injected to fill the cavity (13) so as to envelop the protruding part of the perforation pin (2); a third step in which, in a state in which the resin (16) is in an uncured state, the perforation pin (2) is made to protrude further; and a fourth step in which the resin (16) is cured to obtain a molded resin article.
