DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FEEDING MOLTEN PLASTIC MATERIAL INTO A MOLDING CAVITY
The device for feeding molten plastic material into a molding cavity (30) includes a melting chamber (20) in which metered solid plastic material is introduced, a sonotrode (10) provided for tightly inserting a portion thereof into said melting chamber (20), causing the plastic material to melt by means of vibration, and relative movement of the sonotrode (10) and melting chamber (20) allows driving the molten plastic material inside a molding cavity (30) communicated with said melting chamber (20), the device including resistance sensors (40) allowing an electronic control device (50) to know the resistance that the plastic material has against the movement of the sonotrode (10).
Method for preparing a textile/resin composite part
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a textile/thermoplastic resin composite part, comprising the following steps: (a) providing a mould; (b) applying at least one composition (A) comprising at least one thermoplastic resin; (c) heating the mould; (d) applying the textile to the heated thermoplastic resin; (e) cooling the mould; (f) unmoulding.
Installations and methods for moulding food products with a pressurized air food product ejection system from a mould drum
A moulding installation and method for moulding food products from a pumpable foodstuff mass are described. A revolving mould drum is provided with multiple mould cavities and a mass feed member is arranged at a fill position to transfer foodstuff mass into passing mould cavities. The foodstuff mass forms a food product in the mould cavity. A pressurized air food product ejection system includes air ducts in the mould drum that extend to the cavities and at least a portion of the surface delimiting a mould cavity is air permeable. The ejection system further includes a pressurized air source to feed pressurized air at a regulated ejection air pressure thereof to the air ducts. A controller is adapted to input at least one target parameter related to filling of the mould cavities with the foodstuff mass via the mouth of the mass feed member. The controller is adapted to automatically set an ejection air pressure by the pressurized air source on the basis of the inputted target parameter.

Method for applying an extruded seal to a surface
A method for applying a sealant to the surface of an object includes forming an annular dose of synthetic plasticised material supplied from an extruder, depositing the dose on the surface of object and compression forming the dose to form a seal. The extruder includes an annular outlet which is opened and closed to deposit successive doses. Each dose that exits the annular outlet is separated from a supply of plasticized material in the extruder.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing an optical article
A molding apparatus for molding an optical article has a reactor vessel having an interior cavity configured to receive a quantity of a flowable forming material, a mold assembly defining a mold cavity therein, a diaphragm valve disposed between the reactor vessel and the mold assembly, and a tubing connecting the diaphragm valve to the reactor vessel and the mold assembly. The diaphragm valve is operable between an open configuration to permit a flow of the flowable forming material through the tubing from the reactor vessel to the mold cavity and a closed configuration to block the flow of the flowable forming material from the reactor vessel to the mold cavity. A filter is disposed between the reactor vessel and the diaphragm valve. The tubing has an upstream tubing section between the reactor vessel and the filter and a downstream tubing section between the filter and the diaphragm valve.
METHOD FOR APPLYING AN EXTRUDED SEAL TO A SURFACE

The extruder includes an annular outlet which is opened and closed to deposit successive doses. Each dose that exits the annular outlet is separated from a supply of plasticized material in the extruder.
Method of producing transdermal absorption sheet
A method of producing a transdermal absorption sheet including: preparing a mold having needle-like recessed portions including tapered inlet portions; preparing a liquid feeder including an opening portion and a lip land portion; filling the needle-like recessed portions with a solution by feeding the solution to the mold and moving the liquid feeder in a traveling direction while bringing an upstream end of the lip land portion on an upstream side of the liquid feeder in the traveling direction into contact with the mold; and forming needle portions and a sheet portion using a polymer solution. In the filling of the solution, when the upstream end of the lip land portion on the upstream side aligns with an upstream side inlet surface of one of the needle-like recessed portions, the shortest distance from a downstream side inlet surface of the needle-like recessed portion to a surface of the lip land portion on the upstream side is 220 m or less.
Apparatus and method for applying an extruded seal to a surface
An apparatus is disclosed for forming annular doses of synthetic plasticised material supplied from an extruder, in which the doses are applied to a surface of a capsule and the seals of the capsules are then compression-formed. The apparatus includes one tubular wall that has a longitudinal axis and is axially movable for closing an annular outlet from which the synthetic plasticised material exits with a component that is normal to the longitudinal axis. The tubular wall has a cutting edge that shears the plasticised material during the closing movement in order to separate the annular dose, formed outside the outlet, from the material that remains inside the outlet.
