METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A DISPENSING PART OF A CONTAINER, AND DISPENSING PART OF A CONTAINER
A method comprises in sequence the steps of: dispensing a continuous polymeric extrudate in a molten state; separating from the continuous extrudate a dose substantially having the shape of a parallelepiped, the dose having a separation surface at which the dose has been separated from the continuous extrudate, the dose further having a face adjacent to the separation surface; conveying the dose towards a mould comprising a first mould part and a second mould part; shaping the dose in the mould by moving the first mould part and the second mould part one towards the other in a moulding direction arranged transversally to said face, thereby obtaining a dispensing part of a container.
The dispensing part comprises: an edge zone suitable for being joined to a container body; a neck surrounding a passage through which a product contained in the container can be dispensed; a membrane which closes the passage, the passage being intended to be opened after the shaping step, so that said product can flow out.
APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSION MOULDING CONCAVE OBJECTS
An apparatus comprises: a dispensing device for dispensing at least one polymeric material; a severing element for severing a dose of polymeric material from the polymeric material dispensed by the dispensing device; a transport element for transporting the dose; a mould comprising a male mould element and a female mould element, the female mould element being positioned above the male mould element.
The transport element is configured to perform a first movement by moving along a path directed from the dispensing device towards the mould, so as to bring the dose to the mould. Moreover, the transport element is configured to perform, in addition to the first movement, a second movement by rotating about an axis, so as to turn the dose from a first orientation with which the dose is received by the transport element, to a second orientation with which the dose is released by the transport element onto the male mould element.
Additive manufacturing system implementing hardener pre-impregnation
A method is disclosed for additively manufacturing a composite structure. The method may include directing a continuous reinforcement into a print head, and coating the continuous reinforcement with a first matrix component inside of the print head. The method may further include coating the continuous reinforcement with a second matrix component, discharging the continuous reinforcement through a nozzle of the print head, and moving the print head in multiple dimensions during the discharging. The first and second matrix components interact to cause hardening of a matrix around the continuous reinforcement.
METHODS FOR FIBER REINFORCED ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Various embodiments related to three dimensional printers, and reinforced filaments, and their methods of use are described. In one embodiment, a void free reinforced filament is fed into an extrusion nozzle. The reinforced filament includes a core, which may be continuous or semi-continuous, and a matrix material surrounding the core. The reinforced filament is heated to a temperature greater than a melting temperature of the matrix material and less than a melting temperature of the core prior to extruding the filament from the extrusion nozzle.
Seal system for melted plastics
A seal system includes a male body and a female body that are slidable in relation to one another in an axial direction and between which an interstice is arranged. Plastics in pasty state pass through the interstice to a chamber partially defined by at least one of the aforementioned bodies. An elastic strip is arranged in the interstice to prevent leakage of the plastics.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING DOSES
An apparatus including a co-extrusion device for extruding a multi-layer structure having at least one primary layer and at least one secondary layer, so that the multi-layer structure leaves the co-extrusion device along an exit direction; a mould provided with a pair of elements, at least one of the elements being movable towards the other in a moulding direction, so as to compression mould an object from a multi-layer dose which was severed from the multi-layer structure; a transport device for carrying the dose towards the mould; an arrangement for modifying orientation of the dose while the dose is being transported by the transport device, so that the dose is introduced into the mould with an orientation in which the secondary layer extends transversely to the moulding direction.
Method for applying an extruded seal to a surface
A method for applying a sealant to the surface of an object includes forming an annular dose of synthetic plasticised material supplied from an extruder, depositing the dose on the surface of object and compression forming the dose to form a seal. The extruder includes an annular outlet which is opened and closed to deposit successive doses. Each dose that exits the annular outlet is separated from a supply of plasticized material in the extruder.
Method and apparatus for applying annular doses
A method and an apparatus for forming annular doses provides a flow of plasticised material supplied by an extruder which passes through a channel that is first cylindrical and then annular. The material exits from an annular outlet in front of which a cutting element passes that separates an annular dose of material. The dose is deposited on a surface of a capsule having a capacity to adhere to the dose that is greater than the cutting element. The surface and the cutting element are distanced from one another in such a manner that the annular dose remaining adhering to the capsule is detached from the element. Detachment can be promoted by a flow of air.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR APPLYING A SEALING COMPOUND TO THE BASE AND THE INSIDE OF AN ANNULAR WALL OF A LID FOR CONTAINERS
A method for applying a sealing compound to a lid base and an inside of an annular wall of a lid comprises applying a first annular structure to the lid base with an applicator. The first annular structure comprises the sealing compound. The first annular structure of sealing compound is pressed against the lid base to form a second annular structure. The pressing is performed using an annular first press ram surrounding an inner forming part. The second annular structure of sealing compound is pressed into a transition area with an end face of the first press ram. The sealing compound is pressed through a gap defined between the end face of the first press ram and the lid base. The second annular structure is pressed flat against the lid base and into the gap between the lid wall and the first press ram using a second press ram.
