Foam separator for polyurethane foams
A process can be used for preparing thermally insulating articles containing a thermally insulating polyurethane foam producible in place, a casing surrounding the thermally insulating polyurethane foam, and a foam separator located within the thermally insulating polyurethane foam. The thermally insulating articles producible according to this process are useful. Corresponding cooling systems like fridges, heat storage systems, insulation panels for construction, insulated pipes, mobile transport systems, water boilers, burners, chimneys, instrument panels, roofs of industry hails, engines, or caravans contain the thermally insulating article.
FOAM BODY AND APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MAKING THE BODY
An apparatus for making a foam material body has a mold comprising at least two mold halves fittable together to form separate first and second mold cavities; a first sprue opening into the first mold cavity, and a second sprue opening into the second mold cavity. The mold parts can be moved between an open and a closed position. Foam can be injected into the first and second mold cavities through the respective sprues. A passage, for example, connects the sprue with the mold cavity. The first mold cavity and the second mold cavity are partitioned from one another in the closed position of the mold.
MOLDING THERMAL EXPANSION STRUCTURE AND MOLDING METHOD THEREOF
A molding thermal expansion structure includes a thermoplastic material and a thermal expansion material, wherein the thermoplastic material is 50 wt % to 90 wt % based on a weight of the molding thermal expansion structure; the thermal expansion material is 50 wt % to 10 wt % based on a weight of the molding thermal expansion structure; wherein, the thermal expansion material is expanded from a foaming original material through a pre-foaming process; the thermoplastic material and the thermal expansion material are mixed to form a mixed material; the mixed material is thermally expanded to form a thermal expansion structure in a molding apparatus. The molding thermal expansion structure provided in the present invention could satisfy various needs of light-weighted products. A molding method of the thermal expansion structure is also provided herein.
Heat-insulating wall, and heat-insulating housing and method for producing the same
A heat-insulating housing (21) includes: a wall body; and an open-cell resin body (4) of thermosetting resin with which a heat-insulating space formed by the wall body is filled by integral foaming, the open-cell resin body including: a plurality of cells (47); a cell film portion (42); a cell skeleton portion (43); a first through-hole (44) formed so as to extend through the cell film portion; and a second through-hole (45) formed so as to extend through the cell skeleton portion, wherein the plurality of cells communicate with one another through the first through-hole and the second through-hole.
Crosslinked tubular foam
There is provided an insulation foam in a tubular form, comprising at least one seamless layer of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) closed-cell physical foam. The tubular foam can favourably be used to thermally insulate tubes that convey water, refrigerants or other fluids, in particular, copper tubes for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) applications, as well as plastic tubes for use in domestic plumbing systems, hydronic radiant heating and cooling systems. There is also provided a method for manufacturing a crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) closed-cell physical foam in seamless tubular form, an insulation foam material using the same and a polymer blend for its manufacturing.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FOOTWEAR SOLES
A sole component molded with different portions molded from different bead foams where there is a gradual transition between the different bead foams, as well as a method and apparatus for manufacturing the same. The molding system includes a mold cavity that is partially divided into at least two adjacent mold regions by at least one blade. The blade does not fully separate adjacent regions, but instead defines a space allowing beads introduced into adjacent regions to intermingle or overlap at the interface between the mold regions. The size, shape and configuration of the blade and the space may vary from application to application. The molding system may include a blade retractor that allows the blade to be retracted after the beads are loaded and before the beads are joined. The different bead foams may be different expanded thermoplastic polyurethane bead foams that vary in density or hardness or color.
