Device and method for processing a cover, assembly for a vehicle roof, and vehicle roof for a motor vehicle
A device for machining a cover for a motor vehicle may have a lower mold having a sealing element and a first recess and a second recess a distance from the first recess. The sealing element is arranged in part in the first recess of the lower mold so that the element extends with respect to a surface of the lower mold. The sealing element and the second recess of the lower mold are formed so as to define a cavity in a predefined manner in cooperation with a lower face of the cover. The device further may have a counter bearing which is designed, when forming the cavity on the lower face of the cover, to exert a counter force on an upper face of the cover towards the lower mold.
VR FACE MASK AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a VR face mask and a manufacturing method thereof. The VR face mask includes a mask body, and a first PU covering layer arranged on a surface of the mask body to be attached close to a human face. The mask body includes a mask bottom layer arranged away from the first PU covering layer, and a filling layer arranged between the first PU covering layer and the mask bottom layer.
Method for producing a connecting part using an injection foam molding process
A method for producing a connecting part (28) uses an injection foam molding process. In a first step, a fastening part with adhesive and/or hooking elements (18), forming a component of a contact fastener, is produced and introduced into an injection mold (2) as an insert part (16). A support part (26) is formed in the mold in a second step using a foamed synthetic material (22). The support part is connected to the insert part to form the connecting part (28).
SEAT PAD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SEAT PAD
It is provided a seat pad having excellent comfort in seating with improved air permeability and cushion durability in a seat pad of the vehicle seat. The seat pad includes an air permeable member having a ventilation n function with an outside. The seat pad is integrally foam molded using a foamed resin material in a state where the air permeable member is introduced. The seat pad has a surface of the air permeable member projecting with respect to a surface of the seat pad located at a closest position to the air permeable member.
Mold-in touch fastening product
A male touch fastener strip includes an elongated base and a field of male fastener elements each having a stem extending from a broad face of the base and a head for engaging fibers. The fastener element stems and broad face of the base together form a unitary mass of resin, such as a resin containing a magnetically attractable substance. Wings extend from respective longitudinal edges of the base and define discrete corrugations extending in a series along the fastener strip and forming corresponding undulations in the rear face of the strip along its longitudinal edges. The corrugated wings can also support a foam gasket.
IN-MOLD FOAM MOLDED ARTICLE, METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME, AND MOLD FOR USE IN FORMING THE SAME
An in-mold foam molded article has a foam body made from olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads and an insert member having an elongated connecting portion and movement resisting portions provided apart from one another in the elongated connecting portion. The insert member is subjected to insert molding upon in-mold foam molding using the olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads. The foam body has a movement facilitating structure that facilitates relative movement between the insert member and the foam body during shrinkage of the in-mold foam molded article after release from a mold.
Lightweight acoustic enclosures
The technology described in this document can be embodied in an acoustic enclosure for a speaker system disposed in a portion of a vehicle seat. The acoustic enclosure includes a rigid plate configured to be attached to a frame, a first section, and a second section. The rigid plate configured to support a speaker disposed in part within the acoustic enclosure. The first section is constructed from expanded resin, and disposed in contact with the rigid plate. The second section is disposed in contact with the first section, between the second section and the rigid plate. The first and second section together define a housing of the acoustic enclosure that includes at least one cavity configured to accommodate a portion of the speaker.
Automated method and system for making painted vehicle body panel skins and vehicle body panels, such as instrument panels, utilizing same
An automated method and system for making painted vehicle body panel skins and vehicle body panels, such as instrument panels, are provided wherein throughput and equipment utilization are greatly improved at a relatively low cost. The method includes transferring a mold having a mold surface from an entrance station to a paint station within a dispensing area. The method further includes applying paint on the mold surface to form a layer of paint on the mold surface at the paint station. The method still further includes spraying curable polyurethane elastomer on the painted surface at a spray station within the dispensing area. The paint and spray stations may be coincident. The method still further includes, after the step of spraying and while the polyurethane elastomer is uncured, transferring the mold with the paint and the uncured polyurethane elastomer from the spray station to at least one accumulator station in a curing area to allow the polyurethane elastomer to completely cure in the mold and form the skin.
BROAD BAND RADOME FOR MICROWAVE ANTENNA
A radome for an antenna is provided as a composite of an isotropic outer layer and a structural layer of foamed polymer material. The composite is dimensioned to enclose an open end of the antenna. The radome may be retained upon the antenna by a retaining element and fasteners. The outer layer may be a polymer material with a water resistant characteristic. The structural layer may project inward and/or outward with respect to a plane of the seating surface of the radome.
MASSAGE DEVICE AND METHOD
A massage device includes a plurality of massage rollers including a first-end massage roller, a second-end massage roller, and at least one intermediate massage roller, each massage roller having a spherical shape and being rotatable about a roller axis. Further, the device may be constructed of a coated sponge material for a smooth finish to resist sweat or dirt. The massage balls may have bump and pits to facilitate muscle and tissue stimulation. The massage device is useful in the administration of deep-tissue massage. The device may be used to massage many different minor muscle groups located in the hands and feet, as well a major muscle groups in the upper and lower back, and legs.
