A nasal impression assembly for use in prosthodontics and otolaryngology, wherein the assembly includes detachable components specifically designed for recording precise nasal impressions. The detachable components may include plurality of nasal cones, a pair of injection syringes, and an extra nasal mesh splint, assembled on a horizontal bar. Further a method is provided for measuring/imprinting the impression, by using the assembly, wherein an impression material is brought in contact with extra-nasal and/or intra-nasal structure to imprint its size and/or shape.

Self-centering sealant applicator

A method and apparatus for applying sealant. The apparatus may comprise a shaping portion, a centering portion, and a support system. The shaping portion may have a cavity configured to receive a fastener system and receive a sealant. The centering portion may have a channel configured to position the shaping portion in a desired position around the fastener system when the fastener system is received in the cavity. The support system may be configured to maintain the desired position of the apparatus.

ROBOTIC TERMINAL EFFECTOR FOR AUTOMATIC PLACEMENT OF INSERTS IN A COMPOSITE PANEL OF THE SANDWHICH TYPE WITH A CELLULAR CORE

A robotic terminal effector for automatic placement of an insert in a cavity formed in a composite panel of the sandwich type with a cellular core. The insert including an upper flange having a resin inlet orifice and a resin outlet orifice. The effector being intended to be mounted on a carrier, and having a contact body with a contact surface. The contact surface having a means for injecting resin into an empty space delimited by the insert and the cavity when the insert is positioned in the cavity, and a means for grasping hold of the insert by suction. The resin-injection and grasping means being configured in such a way as to leave the contact surface free to be pressed firmly against an upper face of the composite panel so as to generate a continuous sealed region around the cavity while the insert is being placed in the cavity.

A method for sealing a fastener employs a mold which provided with an inlet port for molding material. The mold is then positioned over a fastener and the mold is sealed against a structure. A moisture cured polyurethane reactive adhesive (MCRPA) as a molding material is then heated and injected into the mold. Upon solidification of the MCRPA, the mold is then removed to expose the MCRPA to atmospheric moisture and cured to leave an in-situ molded cap formed over the fastener and sealed to the structure.

Materials, methods and devices for joining lines

A hand-held device for joining fishing line segments of monofilament, fluorocarbon, and/or braid lines of similar or differing sizes or combinations or securing hooks or other components to at least one line. The device includes an encasement for orienting the fishing line segments in a closed chamber in close, non-contacting orientation. A material is injected into the closed chamber to encase the lines. This material can be adhesive material or a flowable polymer material having a melting temperature lower than the line segments to be bonded. A pre-formed, flexible polymer sheath is used to retain the line segments in the chamber. A heater heats the polymer sheath within the encasement to allow the polymer to flow and encase the line segments without melting the line segments. Bonding of the line segments can be achieved without melting, abrading, compressing, or impairing the integrity the line segment(s) to be encased.

Reusable cartridges allow the time consuming resin preparation and processing steps to occur offline and not affect the cycling time of the injector. Cartridges also greatly simplify the operation of RTM injectors as preparation simply consists of loading a warmed ready-to-use resin cartridge and performing the injection.
