METHODS TO REDUCE FLASHES ON ELECTRODES
A method for use in making an electrode assembly (20) comprises the steps of applying an electrode (24) on a first layer of material (22); laser welding a lead (23) to the electrode; applying an adhesive backfill (26) over the electrode and the lead; and applying a second layer of material (28) over the adhesive backfill and a portion of the first layer to prevent a leakage path between the electrode and the second layer.
Resin molded article constituting electrostatic-capacitance type operation device
The resin molded article is molded by using an electrode sheet as an insert in a state where one surface of the electrode sheet is closely attached to an inner surface which serves as the inner side of the operation surface. The electrode sheet is formed by using, as a base material, a thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet which outputs an electrical signal according to the amount of change of electrostatic capacitance generated by a contact operation with respect to the operation surface. At least a whole or a part of the inner surface is formed in a three-dimensionally curved surface, and a passage is formed in the electrode sheet so as to allow a molten resin following in through a gate formed in a die which comes into contact with the other surface of the electrode sheet during molding to pass toward one surface side of the electrode sheet.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC INSPECTION
An ultrasonic inspection system determines whether or not a thermally conductive resin forming a thermally conductive resin layer is filled through a waveform change of an ultrasonic wave measured by transmitting the ultrasonic wave toward a portion of an edge of a bottom surface of a module frame from the outside.
Vehicle component with an accessory mounting feature and a method and tool for forming
A vehicle component, and a method and tool for forming the component are provided. First and second tools with first and second surfaces, respectively, are provided. The first tool is translated along a first axis towards the second tool such that the first and second surfaces cooperate to define a mold cavity configured to form an accessory mount feature with an aperture. The second surface is configured to form an integrated rib extending outwardly from an upper surface of the mount feature to a planar bearing surface surrounding the aperture with the planar bearing surface oriented at an acute angle relative to the upper surface. The first axis is substantially parallel to the upper surface.
Hybrid structure and method for manufacturing
The invention relates to a hybrid structure comprising a first component having a base and an upstanding wall extending from the base, the first component having an interior enclosed between the upstanding wall and the base, and a thermoplastic second component moulded to the first component, the second component comprising a reinforcing portion for structurally reinforcing the first component, the reinforcing portion extending in a longitudinal direction of the first component and located in the interior of the first component, the thermoplastic second component further comprising a locking portion that extends adjacently over at least part of an exterior of the first component, wherein the reinforcing portion and the locking portion are integrally formed, thus interlocking the first component in the thermoplastic second component. The invention relates as well to a method for manufacturing such a hybrid structure, and to a vehicle comprising such a hybrid structure.
Functionalised and Sealed Part
A component comprising a sheet-like reinforcing component having a first stiffness and a sheet-like attachment made of an attachment material having a second stiffness, wherein the first stiffness is higher than the second stiffness, wherein the planar reinforcing component has an upper and lower side and the attachment is connected at least to the upper or lower side of the planar reinforcing component in a first partial area of the planar reinforcing component.
PYROTECHNIC ACTUATOR
An actuator has a housing (14), a pyrotechnic charge (17) and a piston (11) which transitions into a pin (12) which in the initial state projects out of the housing (14) and upon ignition of the pyrotechnic charge (17) is retracted at least partially into the housing (14). According to the invention, the piston-pin combination consists of a main body (10) which is made of plastic and has a reinforcing element (13) in the region of the pin (12). The reinforcing element (13) has the shape of a sleeve or tube and surrounds the pin (12). It is form-fittingly connected to the pin (12), for example by the sleeve-like or tubular reinforcing element (13) having a shape (22) for reducing the inner cross-section.
CHAIN AND CHAIN LINK WITH SEALING RING
A method of manufacturing a chain link (8) of an abrasion cutting chain comprises: providing a metal blank with outer contours of the chain link (8) and rivet holes (14); and providing a ring (15) of a seal material by injection-molding of seal material around at least one rivet hole (14). The method further comprises providing a transfer channel (16) in the metal blank adjacent to at least one of the rivet holes (14). The seal material flows via the transfer channel (16) into at least one cavity portion of an injection mold assembly to form at least one rings (15) of seal material. An abrasion chain link comprises at least one rivet hole (14). A transfer channel (16) is provided next to the rivet hole (14).
OPENING SYSTEM FOR A CONTAINER, A METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME AND A CONTAINER COMPRISING THE OPENING SYSTEM
An opening system for a container comprising a packaging material having an outside and an inside. An injection molded opening element, wherein the injection molded opening element is attached to the inside of the packaging material at a first point, and extends from the inside of the packaging material and through to the outside of the packaging material. And, wherein the injection molded opening element is attached to the outside of the packaging material at a second point and extends a distance from the second point for opening the container.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A DIAL
A process for manufacturing a watch dial including at least one pattern on a visible face of the dial, the process including: a step of designing a support plate including a dial blank, this step including producing several through holes in the thickness of the body of a support plate, the holes delimiting in such a plate the edge of the dial blank, and a step of producing at least one pattern on a visible face of the dial blank during which step the following is performed: an arrangement of this support plate including the external part element in a mould, and a construction of a blank of each pattern on the visible face of the dial blank, as well as a finalisation of the blank of the pattern.
