JOINING STRUCTURE
A joining structure includes a first member, a second member of a material different from that of the first member, and a separation mechanism provided between the first member and the second member and that separates the first member and the second member from each other, wherein a resin is filled into the space between the edge of at least one member among the first member and the second member, and the other member.
HEATED RESPIRATORY HOSE CONNECTION
Unwinding a portion of a support helix that comprises a heating wire from a wall of a hose at an end of the hose; sleeving a length of heatshrink tubing at least partly onto the unwound portion of the support helix; heating the heatshrink tubing to shrink onto at least part of the unwound portion of the support helix; and at an end of the unwound portion, directly connecting the heating wire to an electrical contact of an electrical connector.
Device for manufacturing rotor core and method for manufacturing rotor core
Provided is a manufacturing device for a rotor core and a manufacturing method for a rotor core in which it is possible to suitably fit a columnar core rod into a center hole of a laminated iron core, when fitting and installing the laminated iron core into a fitting recess of a first mold. A device for manufacturing a rotor core includes: a first mold; a second mold that engages with the first mold and clamps and seals the laminated iron core together with the first mold; a resin injection unit that is provided to the second mold and injects a resin material in the magnet insertion hole by using a molding machine; and a guide plate that has a through hole into which the core rod is inserted and is mounted at one end of the laminated iron core in such a manner that the through hole is in communication with the center hole of the laminated iron core, in which the guide plate has an opening diameter of the through hole on one surface side of one end side of the laminated iron core that is substantially the same as an opening diameter of the center hole, and an opening diameter of the through hole on the other side on the side of the first mold is larger than an opening diameter on the one surface side.
Sealing method
A sealing method for sealing an opening of a metallic molded body with a resin molded body, the metallic molded body having a cavity therein and an opening connected to the cavity, includes a step of irradiating laser light onto a joining surface on a periphery of the opening of the metallic molded body in an energy density of 1 MW/cm.sup.2 or more and at an irradiation rate of 2000 mm/sec or more to roughen the surface, and a step of placing, in a mold, a portion including the joining surface of the metallic molded body roughened in the preceding step and sealing the opening with a resin molded body formed by injection molding or compression molding of a resin.
Light-weight gear and manufacturing method thereof, manufacturing method of gear train, and robot
A light-weight gear including: an annular tooth portion made of metal; a shaft extending along a central axis of the tooth portion and made of metal; and a coupling element configured to couple the shaft to the tooth portion and made of a resin, in which a joining part between the shaft and the coupling element and a joining part between the tooth portion and the coupling element are provided with irregularities configured to be engaged with one another in a circumferential direction, and corners of the irregularities are rounded to release a stress. Also, provided is a manufacturing method of a light-weight gear including: disposing the tooth portion and the shaft in a mold and injecting a molten resin into a cavity of the mold, thereby simultaneously performing injection molding of the coupling element and joining the coupling element to the tooth portion and the shaft.
Process for Applying Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Sleeves
Disclosed is a method and a system for pretensioning fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) sleeves surrounding an assembly of parts. The method includes application of pretensioning FRP sleeves surrounding a permanent magnet rotor with surface magnets.
Micro transducer molding
Articles and methods are provided for miniature acoustic transducers having highly compliant suspension systems despite their small size. In various examples the suspension system is molded of a liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and is molded in an interior cavity geometry that includes at least one of a radial offset or an axial offset from a desired geometry of the suspension.
LIGHT-WEIGHT GEAR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF GEAR TRAIN, AND ROBOT

Method of coating a field joint
A method of coating a field joint, pipe sections for forming a coated field joint, and a coated field joint formed thereby. First and second angular cut backs are provided in the parent coating of each pipe section. The first angular cut back is at an angle of about 30°+−0.5° relative to the longitudinal axis of the field joint, and the second angular cut back is positioned further from the field joint than the first angular cut back. The first and second angular cut backs result in the parent coating having a stepped profile, a step in the stepped profile between the first and second angular cut backs, the step is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the field joint and is often substantially free of indentations. The field joint coating may be injection moulded to have an upstand that is less than or equal to about 5 mm.
MICRO TRANSDUCER MOLDING
Articles and methods are provided for miniature acoustic transducers having highly compliant suspension systems despite their small size. In various examples the suspension system is molded of a liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and is molded in an interior cavity geometry that includes and apex radially offset and/or axially offset from a desired cured position of an apex of the suspension.
