Variable-temperature Yarn with Continuous Sense of Cold and Manufacturing Method Thereof
Disclosed are a variable-temperature yarn with a continuous sense of cold and a manufacturing method thereof. A fiber of the variable-temperature yarn with a continuous sense of cold comprises a skin part and a core part, wherein the core part is wrapped in the skin part and is made of a PCM or phase-change energy-storage wax, and a cross-sectional area of the PCM or phase-change energy-storage wax accounts for 5%-70% of a cross-sectional area of the fiber. More PCMs can be directly injected into a fiber core, so that a textile product has a stronger sense of cold, the sense of continuous cold of the product is greatly improved, the requirement of users for cold experience is better met, and the market blank is filled.

A screw having a longitudinal body and, around this longitudinal body, at least one flight extending in the shape of a helix, the flight including, over part of its length, internal partitioning delimiting a plurality of internal channels that extend in the shape of helices following the helix shape of the flight. The screw includes manifold-like cavities into which the ends of the interior canals open, the manifold-like cavities extending radially and opened into a longitudinal bore of the body at longitudinally spaced locations. This screw can be produced by additive manufacturing using laser-induced fusion.

Apparatus and methods for food production including a food preconditioner (228) operable to heat and partially pre-cook food ingredients, and a twin screw extruder (20) operable to further cook the preconditioned ingredients to create final food products. The extruder (20) includes a pair of hollow core extrusion screws (50, 52, 124, 126, 190) having elongated hollow core shafts (54, 128, 130, 192) equipped with helical fighting (56, 132, 134, 194) along the lengths thereof. The fighting (132, 134, 194) is also of hollow construction which communicates with the hollow core shafts (54, 128, 130, 192). The flighting (56, 132, 134, 194) also includes forward, reverse pitch sections (64, 162, 216). The extrusion screws (50, 52, 124, 126, 190) are designed to impart high levels of thermal energy into materials being processed in the extruders (20), without adding additional moisture.
THIN, FUNCTIONAL, AND BIODEGRADABLE STRAWS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Biodegradable drinking straws and methods of making biodegradable drinking straws. The drinking straws are thin and functional, having a tactile feel similar to conventional drinking straws, and are biodegradable in 12 months or less. The drinking straws use less material while maintaining high thickness uniformity, reducing cost and increasing structural integrity.
PROCESSING PLANT AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING PLASTICS MATERIAL FOR THE RECYCLING THEREOF
The invention relates to a method and a processing plant (1) for plastic material, for the recycling thereof. To this end, the processing plant (1) comprises a feed device (4), a processing unit (2) having a comminuting device (5) and a conveying device (6) adjoining the comminuting device (5), and an extrusion device (3) having an extruder screw (21). During its conveying movement along a first conveying section (9) toward a transfer region (8) by means of the conveying device (6), the comminuted plastic material is heated to a transfer temperature with a mean temperature value, which falls into the range of the softening temperature of the plastic material. In the transfer region (8), the comminuted plastic material is transferred to the extrusion device (3).

No solid bed extruder screw
A no solid bed extruder screw for processing a material to a molten state has a body with a helical thread formed thereon, the thread having pushing and trailing surfaces. The body has an outer surface and extends longitudinally between feed and discharge ends. A channel for receiving the material to be processed is defined between the outer surface of the body and an outer diameter of the thread bounded by the pushing surface and the trailing surface of the thread. A volume of the channel decreases in a plurality of revolutions of the thread in a direction from the feed end to the discharge end. A channel depth between the pushing surface and the trailing surface decreases for a first portion of the channel toward the feed end and increases for a second portion of the channel toward the discharge end.
Screw machine and method for the processing of material to be processed
A screw machine includes an inductive heating device for processing of material to be processed. The inductive heating device is used to heat the material in a heating zone. In the heating zone, at least one housing portion is made of an electromagnetically transparent material at least partly, the material being non-magnetic and electrically non-conductive, whereas at least one treatment element shaft is made of an electrically conductive material at least partly. The inductive heating device includes at least one coil formed integrally with a component of the at least one housing portion, in particular in such a way as to form a hybrid component.
