Method of making a nonwoven web
Soft point bonded nonwoven webs, and methods of making the same, are described that utilize a pattern of small, discrete bond points in a sequent pattern that together form macro-elements. The macro-elements are themselves positioned and aligned within a pattern such that mechanical stretching operations on the point bonded nonwoven webs yields soft and bulky fabrics but with reduced incidence of tearing or rupturing of the individual bond points.
Biaxially stretched polyester film and method for producing the same
A biaxially stretched polyester film and a method for producing the same are provided. The biaxially stretched polyester film includes a polyester resin base layer and a matte layer. The polyester resin base layer includes: (1) 50 to 95 wt % of a polyester resin base material, and an intrinsic viscosity of the polyester resin base material being between 0.5 and 0.8 dL/g; and (2) 0.01 to 5 wt % of a high viscosity polyester resin material, and an intrinsic viscosity of the high viscosity polyester resin material being between 0.9 and 1.1 dL/g. The matte layer includes: (1) 50 to 95 wt % of a polyester resin matrix material, and an intrinsic viscosity of the polyester resin matrix material being between 0.5 and 0.8 dL/g; and (2) 0.3 to 40 wt % of a plurality of filler particles, and the filler particles having an average particle size of between 0.15 μm and 10 μm.

BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYESTER FILM
To provide a biaxially oriented polyester film that has extremely low content of antimony, excellent hygiene, few foreign substances, excellent transparency and heat resistance, and is excellent in printability, workability, and productivity. A biaxially oriented polyester film characterized by a content of antimony in the film of 10 ppm or less, a content of phosphorus in the film of 25 ppm or more and 75 ppm or less, an intrinsic viscosity of the film of 0.51 dl/g or more and 0.70 dl/g or less, and a number of defects with a size of 1 mm or more is 1.0 or less per 1000 square meters of the film.
PATTERNED MICROPOROUS BREATHABLE FILM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE PATTERNED MICROPOROUS BREATHABLE FILM
Microporous breathable films include a polyolefin and an inorganic filler dispersed in the polyolefin.
BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYESTER FILM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A biaxially oriented polyester film having the following physical property is provided: when cooled from the molten state at a cooling rate of 20° C/min, an observed recrystallization temperature is 175° C-200° C. The biaxially oriented polyester film is formed by a thick sheet before bidirectional stretching that is melted and extruded by an extruder and then cooled and formed on a casting roll. The thick sheet before stretching having the following physical property as analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry: a crystallization rate is less than 10%.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICALLY ANISOTROPIC POLYMER THIN FILMS
A method includes attaching a clip array to opposing edges of a polymer thin film, the clip array having a plurality of first clips slidably disposed on a first track located proximate to a first edge of the polymer thin film and a plurality of second clips slidably disposed on a second track located proximate to a second edge of the polymer thin film, applying a positive in-plane strain to the polymer thin film along a transverse direction by increasing a distance between the first and second clips, and decreasing an inter-clip spacing amongst the first clips and amongst the second clips along a machine direction while applying the in-plane strain to form an optically anisotropic polymer thin film. During stretching, a strain rate of the thin film may be decreased and/or a temperature of the thin film may be increased.
POLYESTER FILM FOR BEING EMBOSSED WITH LASER-ENGRAVED PATTERN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A polyester film for being embossed with a laser-engraved pattern and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The polyester film includes a substrate layer and at least one surface layer formed on the substrate layer. The surface layer serves as an easy-to-press embossed pattern layer, and is formed from a polyester-based copolymer. The polyester-based copolymer includes residues derived from a diacid component and residues derived from a diol component. The diacid component includes 85 to 95 mol % of terephthalic acid and 5 to 15 mol % of isophthalic acid.
