A spin weld apparatus for spin welding a prepared end of a coaxial cable with a coaxial connector includes a cable clamp dimensioned to grip the coaxial cable and a drive collet dimensioned to enclose and rotationally interlock with a lateral surface of the coaxial connector. The drive collet is dimensioned to rotationally interlock with an interlocking portion of a spin welder. The spin welder is dimensioned to axially align the coaxial connector with the coaxial cable for spin welding when the drive collet is rotationally interlocked with the spin welder.

A friction welding method for fastening a connection bushing, such as a threaded bushing for example, in a housing. In order to improve the quality of the connection, the connection bushing is attached to the housing using a friction welding element. The friction welding element consists of the connection bushing, on which a friction welding shell with a radially outer friction welding contour is formed or molded. Connecting and sealing portions are produced between the friction welding element and the housing during the friction welding process by means of a special design of the friction welding contour.

The base plate holds an instrument panel which is an object to be welded. The position adjusting jigs are connected to the vibrating body so as to be adjustable in position. The plurality of position adjusting jigs are disposed independently of each other.

The relates to a method of mechanically securing a first object to a second object and includes the steps of: providing the first object including thermoplastic material in a solid state, providing the second object with a generally flat sheet portion having an edge, positioning the first object relative to the second object and bringing the first object and the second object to a relative movement to each other. The relative movement includes a rotational movement, such that a melting zone including flowable thermoplastic material is formed and such that thermoplastic material of the melting zone flows around the edge to at least partially embed the edge in the thermoplastic material. A bonded body is formed of a first member and a second member. The first member has a first base portion and a first welded portion which protrudes from the first base portion toward the second member side. The second member has a second base portion and a second welded portion which protrudes from the second base portion toward the first member side. In a first region of the joint portion, a first rib formed so as to project from the first base portion toward the second member side covers the first welded portion and the second welded portion from the side. In a second region different from the first region, a second rib formed so as to project from the second base portion toward the first member side covers the first welded portion and the second welded portion from the side.

The inner member includes a first joint surface portion that is vibration welded to the base surface portion, a second joint surface portion that is vibration welded to the slope portion, and at least one protruding portion that protrudes from the second joint surface portion toward the base surface portion.
