Explosion-proof housing and method for producing the same
An explosion-proof housing includes at least one metal housing part having at least one of a housing opening or receiving surface, and a support edge bordering said at least one of a housing opening or receiving surface. A cover part covers said at least one of a housing opening or the receiving surface. The cover part includes a peripheral cover edge which is connected to the support edge in an explosion-proof manner such that in the event of an explosion inside the housing, the explosion is prevented from crossing over to an explosive atmosphere surrounding the housing. A plurality of connection points are formed between the support edge and the cover edge. The connection points include interlocking depressions and protrusions. The protrusions are formed by partial melting of the cover edge. The depressions and the protrusions interlock with play in a longitudinal direction of the housing.

METHOD FOR JOINING A FLUID CONDUIT AND A CONNECTION HUB
Method for joining a fluid conduit and a connection hub. There is provided a method for joining a fluid conduit 2 and a connection hub 7, wherein a fluid 2 conduit is provided having an at least partially transparent end section 1. Also provided is a connection hub 7 comprising a hub cavity 9 having a shape complementary to a shape of the end section of the fluid conduit 1. The end section of the fluid conduit 1 is at least partly introduced into the hub cavity 9 through an opening in the hub, wherein a contact interface between at least a lateral wall part of the end section 1 and a hub cavity 9 wall is established. The method includes heating a target zone 27 in the contact interface, for joining the fluid conduit 2 and the connection hub 7 at the target zone 27, by directing a light beam 29 across the at least partially transparent end section 1 of the fluid conduit 2 from a side of the fluid conduit 2 which is opposite a side of the target zone 27.
MOLDED ARTICLE FOR LASER WELDING, AND AGENT FOR SUPPRESSING VARIATION IN LASER TRANSMITTANCE OF MOLDED ARTICLE FOR LASER WELDING
Problem: To provide a molded article for laser welding which has excellent visible light transmittance and laser transmittance and in which variation in laser transmittance is suppressed, and an agent for suppressing variation in laser transmittance of a molded article for laser welding.
Solution: A molded article for laser welding comprising a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition containing 100 parts by mass of (A) a polybutylene terephthalate resin, (B) a polycarbonate resin in which the melt viscosity at 300° C. and a shear rate of 1000 sec.sup.−1 is 0.20 kPa.Math.s or greater, and 1 part by mass or greater and 10 parts by mass or less of (C) an epoxy-based compound, the molded article having a thickness at a welded part of 1.3 mm or greater, and an agent for suppressing variation in laser transmittance of a molded article for laser welding, the agent containing an epoxy-based compound.
INSERTABLE AND PREFABRICATED ATTACHMENTS FOR AN ORAL APPLIANCE
A plastic shell such as an orthodontic aligner has an interior shape that substantially conforms to a current or future dental arch of a patient. The plastic shell includes a hollow feature comprising a cavity. The plastic shell additionally includes an object inserted into the cavity, wherein the object provides structural strength to the plastic shell at a location of the hollow feature and does not interfere with a fit of the plastic shell onto the dental arch of the patient.
SYNTHETIC RESIN WELDED BODY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method of manufacturing the synthetic resin welded body includes the steps of: preparing an oil passage forming member including a welding portion having a top portion serving as a welding face; preparing a baffle plate having a welded face; disposing the oil passage forming member and the baffle plate so that the welding face comes in contact with the welded face; and radiating laser light to the welding portion to weld the welding face and the welded face. A recess is formed in the baffle plate so that a groove portion is formed along an outer peripheral face of the welding portion when the oil passage forming member and the baffle plate are disposed so that the welding face comes in contact with the welded face.
Vehicle lamp
A vehicle lamp includes a lamp housing having an inner space and a welding surface, and a cover that covers the inner space and is joined to the lamp housing by laser welding to be disposed adjacent to another vehicle lamp. The cover includes a design surface portion and a welding leg. An end portion of the outer peripheral portion of the design surface portion on another vehicle lamp side is provided as an adjacent side end portion. The welding leg includes a facing surface portion that protrudes from the adjacent side end portion and faces the other vehicle lamp. The facing surface portion is provided at a position extending from an upper end portion to a lower end portion of the adjacent side end portion.
Connection method for chassis sealing elements
A method for connecting the joint of two ends of at least one chassis sealing element. In order to allow a secure and quick connection of the ends and allow an additional unhindered passage of air and moisture between hollow chambers within the chassis sealing element via the joint when using a profiled hollow chamber, the ends are first arranged at a distance to each other, and a shapeless bonding agent is applied to at least one end. The bonding agent is then heated, and the ends are brought into mutual contact, whereby the ends are bonded at the joint by way of the heated bonding agent.
Method and system for joining two components of a meltable material
A method for joining two components of a meltable material comprises the steps of providing a first component having a first border region and a second component having a second border region, placing the second component relative to the first component so as to form an overlap between the first border region and the second border region under a gap between the first border region and the second border region, continuously heating opposed sections of the first border region and the second border region at the same time through at least one energy source arranged in the gap at least partially, continuously providing a relative motion of the at least one energy source along the first border region and the second border region in the gap, and continuously pressing already heated sections of the first border region and the second border region onto each other.
SENSOR MODULE AND CASE UNIT
A sensor module according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a sensor element, a first case, a second case, and an intermediate layer. The first case includes an opening end and accommodates therein the sensor element. The second case includes a joining surface welded to the opening end. The intermediate layer is reflective of light, and is formed along an outer peripheral edge of a region, in the opening end, in which the opening end faces the joining surface.
