Cyclonic surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus uses an inverted cyclone. An air flow path extends from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet. A suction motor is positioned in the air flow path. The inverted cyclone is downstream from the dirty air inlet in a first cyclonic cleaning stage. The cyclone defines a cyclone chamber having a lower air inlet, a lower air outlet and an upper dirt outlet. An openable dirt collection chamber is in communication with the upper dirt outlet.
Assembly and method of coupling pipes
A jig assembly and method of use are provided for positioning and re-rounding pipes for welding. The jig assembly comprises a first jaw assembly and a second jaw assembly which position and move a coupling onto one pipe then the second pipe for subsequent welding.
METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO INDIVIDUAL FLUID TRANSPORT PIPE ELEMENTS USING RIGID SHELLS
A method of connecting together two unit elements (4, 4′) of a fluid transport pipe, each unit pipe element being made of metal alloy and being covered in an outer insulating coating (6, 6′) made of a thermoplastic material, with the exception of an end portion that does not have an outer insulating coating, the method comprising a step of butt-welding together two unit pipe elements at their end portions having no outer insulating coating, a step of mechanically assembling at least two rigid shells (14, 16) made of a thermoplastic material on the end portions of the unit pipe elements not having an outer insulating coating, and a step of keeping the shells sealed against the outer insulating coating of the two unit pipe elements.
Tensile capacity electrofusion pipeline systems and methods
Techniques for implementing a pipeline system that includes a pipe segment and a pipe fitting. The pipe segment includes tubing, which includes an inner barrier layer that defines a pipe bore, a reinforcement layer implemented around the inner barrier layer to define a fluid conduit, and an outer barrier layer implemented around the reinforcement layer, and a tensile clip secured to the tubing such that clip legs of the tensile clip are secured around the reinforcement layer. The pipe fitting includes electrofusion material implemented to define a fitting bore and a tubing cavity in which the tubing is to be secured and a tensile hook partially embedded within the electrofusion material such that a hook bend extends into the tubing cavity, in which the hook bend matingly interlock with a loop end of the tensile clip to facilitate transferring tensile force between the reinforcement layer and the pipe fitting.
Method for retreading a tire using a dual heating effect
The method includes the step of passing an electric current through at least one wire that is situated between a carcass of a tire casing and a tread. The method also includes the step of calculating a value of a temperature of the wire as a function of a relative value of the current. The method proceeds with the step of controlling the current as a function of the temperature value calculated.
Electroweldable branch fitting for high diameter pipes and relative welding method
An electroweldable branch fitting for high diameter pipes comprises at least a first collar (20, 20′) provided with a predetermined radius of curvature (R), wherein the collar (20, 20′) identifies on opposite sides a concave surface (21) and a convex surface (22), further comprising at least one first electrical wire winding (23) associated with the concave surface (21) of the collar (20, 20′) and carrying one first pair of electrical terminals (24), arranged on the convex surface (22) of the collar (20, 20′) for applying an electric current adapted to cause the electrofusion of the collar (20, 20′), wherein the concave surface (21) of the collar (20, 20′) is continuous, i.e. not perforated, and wherein the first electrical wire winding (23) is uniformly distributed on the concave surface (21) at least in the central part thereof, the collar (20, 20′) being provided with a branch sleeve (30), centrally on the convex surface (22), for the connection to a branch pipe, the branch sleeve identifying a blind hole (32) having a bottom wall (32) consisting of the wall of the collar (20, 20′).
ELECTROWELD FITTING
An electroweld fitting is made of plastic material for welding plastic pipelines. The electroweld fitting has: a cylindrical body having a longitudinal axis; a heating wire winding; contacts configured to conduct an electric current; and a pipe stop. The pipe stop is arranged on an inner lateral surface of the cylindrical body. The pipe stop is flexible and resilient. The cylindrical body and the pipe stop arranged thereon are a one piece injection molded part. The heating wire winding is an embedded wire in the inner lateral surface of the cylindrical body.
A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A ROTOR BLADE OF A WIND TURBINE
A method for producing a rotor blade of a wind turbine includes the following steps: a) providing at least two different components of the rotor blade, b) placing a resistive element between the components, c) placing a thermoplastic or weldable thermoset resin between the components, d) energizing the resistive element so that the resistive element applies heat to the thermoplastic or weldable thermoset resin to melt or to soften it, and e) joining the components together by means of the molten or softened thermoplastic or weldable thermoset resin.
