Resistance spot welding system and method
A resistance spot welding system can join two polymeric workpieces and includes a power supply. The power supply has a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The resistance spot welding system further includes a welding electrode assembly electrically connected to the power supply. The welding electrode assembly includes a housing, a first electrically conductive pin and a second electrically conductive pin. The first and second electrically conductive pins both protrude from the housing. The first electrically conductive pin is electrically connected to the positive terminal of the power supply, and the second electrically conductive pin is electrically connected to the negative terminal of the power supply. The second electrically conductive material is electrically insulated from the first electrically conductive pin. The first and second electrically conductive pins are at least partly made of a material having a hardness ranging between 50 HRC and 70 HRC.
Magnetic Plastic Induction
A plastic product having magnetic properties and a method for making the same is provided. The method comprises creating a mixture of a nylon and a metal, melting the mixture to create a melted mixture of the metal suspended in the nylon, injecting the melted mixture into a mold to harden the melted mixture and shape the melted mixture into the product's shape, applying an electrical current to the mold while the mixture is in a viscous state to align the poles of the metal suspended in the nylon in the mixture in a single direction before the mixture has hardened, and applying a magnetic field to the hardened mixture to provide the product with magnetic properties.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, AND LAMINATE THEREOF
In an embodiment, a process for producing a functional-substance thin film material for which a required heating temperature for finishing is 100-130° C. is characterized in that a PP film 2 is releasably laminated to a surface of a PET film 1 with a non-silicone adhesive layer 3 so that the strength of adhesion of the PP film 2 by the non-silicone adhesive layer 3 is regulated so as to prevent the PP film 2 from suffering thermal deformation when a functional substance superposed in a thin film form on the other surface of the PP film 2 is heated to 100-130° C. in order to finally convert the functional substance into a functional-substance thin film material 4.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING ENCLOSED WINDOW AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method for manufacturing an electronic device and the electronic device therefor are provided. The electronic device includes a substantially enclosed window including a front surface, a rear surface and a side surface surrounding at least a portion of a space between the front surface and the rear surface, a display disposed inside the window, and a display bracket, to which the display is coupled and disposed inside the window. The display is coupled to the window by curing a bonding member inserted between the window and the display.
Method of sticking together and un-sticking two parts by means of a filled adhesive
A method of bonding a first part on a second part made of composite material by an adhesive, in which the adhesive is filled with elements of shape memory alloy, is provided. A method of un-sticking the first part adhesively bonded on the composite material second part is also provided. The un-sticking method includes a step of weakening the adhesive interface that consists in subjecting the adhesively bonded parts to heat treatment performed at a temperature that is lower or higher than the martensitic transformation temperature of the shape memory alloy elements.
Hybrid reinforcement structure
A structural reinforcement for insertion into a cavity of a vehicle structure including a base reinforcing portion, an expandable material and a localized reinforcement is disclosed. The localized reinforcement is placed within the structural reinforcement at a location of anticipated increased deformation during vehicle impact in an effort to reduce deformation and control the load distribution post-impact.
STEERING WHEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A steering wheel is provided with a heater element on the rim. The heater element is mounted at least on a part of a core of the rim, and a cladding layer formed from synthetic resin foam covers an outer circumference of the heater element. The heater element includes a cord-shaped heater and a base material. The base material includes an insulation sheet that is formed from synthetic resin foam and disposed to face towards the core and a permeable sheet that is formed from non-metal which allows permeation of the cladding layer. The insulation sheet and permeable sheet are bonded together and sandwich and support the cord-shaped heater there between.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL MOLDING JIG, COMPOSITE MATERIAL MOLDING METHOD, ULTRASONIC TEST SYSTEM, ULTRASONIC TEST METHOD AND AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL OBJECT
According to one implementation, a composite material molding jig includes a rigid portion and a convex portion for forming a groove for inserting an optical fiber sensor. The rigid portion has a surface for laminating prepreg sheets. The convex portion is formed in a surface side of the rigid portion. Further, according to one implementation, a composite material molding method is a method for molding a composite material, on which the groove for inserting the optical fiber sensor has been formed, by heating and curing a laminated body of the prepreg sheets laminated on the above-mentioned composite material molding jig.
Ultrasonic weld coaxial connector
A coaxial connector for interconnection with a coaxial cable with a solid outer conductor by ultrasonic welding is provided with a monolithic connector body with a bore. An annular flare seat is angled radially outward from the bore toward a connector end of the connector; the annular flare seat open to the connector end of the connector. The flare seat may be provided with an annular flare seat corrugation.
METHOD FOR CREATING A TRANSITION FROM AN EDGE OF AN ADD-ON PART MOUNTED ON THE OUTER SURFACE OF A ROTOR BLADE
A method for creating a transition from an edge of an add-on part mounted on the outer surface of a rotor blade, including the steps: delimiting an application area on the rotor blade surface and the add-on part to be covered by a sealant compound with a thin and smooth masking tape; dispensing of the sealant on the application area; distribution of the sealant; removing the masking tape; and smoothening of a sealant transition step with a flexible tool, is provided.
A wind turbine rotor blade is also provided.
