METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A WIND TURBINE BLADE AND SHEAR WEB ASSEMBLY FOR A WIND TURBINE BLADE
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a wind turbine blade (10). The method comprises arranging one or more shear webs (50, 55) within a first shell half. At least one support frame (80) is fixe to one or more anchoring points (86) on the inside surface (36b) of the first shell half, the support frame comprising a free end (81) for engaging with a lateral surface of the shear web. One or more guide element (74) are fastened to at least one of the lateral surfaces of the shear web such that the guide element extends laterally from the shear web to form a receiving space (88) between the guide element (74) and the shear web (55). The shear webs are then lowered into the first shell half such that the free end (81) of the support frame (80) is received in the receiving space (88) between the guide element (74) and the shear web (55).
Sheet attaching apparatus and method
A sheet attaching apparatus includes a gripping mechanism that grips one end portion, in a longitudinal direction, of a first sheet that has been drawn out from a first supply roll; a moving mechanism that allows the first sheet to be attached to a second sheet by moving the gripping mechanism to cause the first sheet to approach and contact the second sheet that passes through an attaching portion provided in a feeding path; and a releasing mechanism that releases a grip of the gripping mechanism on the first sheet, after the first sheet has contacted the second sheet.
Apparatus and method for securing a zipper closure to polymeric film
A method and apparatus for securing a zipper closure to polymeric film using minimal tension on the zipper closure includes providing first and second tension control loops, an eyemark detector, and a hole punch programmed to punch a hole in the zipper closure upon detection of the eyemark. The zipper closure and the film are supplied to a sealing station at the same speed, and the hole zipper closure is aligned with the eyemark on the film, to result in sealing the strip of zipper closure to the film resulting in minimal wrinkles to the resulting bag.
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A FILTER ELEMENT
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus used in the production of a sterilizing filter for dead-end filtration of medical liquids which comprises a plurality of microporous hollow fiber membranes having a large inner diameter, and to a process for operating the apparatus.
Welding Apparatus
A welding apparatus (1) for radio-frequency, RF, welding, comprises: a clamp (10) having two electrodes (100, 101; 100′, 101′) being movable with respect to one another for clamping one or more items (2; 2′) therebetween for a welding process; and an RF power supply (11) for providing an RF welding current to the electrodes (100, 101; 100′, 101′) of the clamp (10), the RF power supply being adapted to change the frequency of the RF welding current during the welding process.
Method for connecting at least two structural parts of an orthopedic component and orthopedic component having at least two structural parts
A method for connecting at least two structural parts of an orthopedic component, wherein the structural parts are retained in an orienting device while oriented in relation to each other, and an intermediate space thus being formed between the structural parts. The orienting device and the structural parts together form a cavity, which has a flow connection to at least one feed connection, via which an adhesive for adhesively bonding the structural parts is introduced into the cavity.
FORMING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR FORMING A PLURALITY OF SEALED PACKS FOR POURABLE FOOD PRODUCTS STARTING FROM A TUBE OF PACKAGING MATERIAL
There is described a forming assembly (10b) for forming a plurality of sealed packs (3) starting from a tube (2) of packaging material, comprising first conveying means (15b) movable along a first path (Q) comprising: a first operative branch (Q1), which has a main elongation direction parallel to an advancing direction (A) of the tube (2); and a first return branch (Q2) comprising an initial portion (35b) which is arranged immediately downstream of the operative branch (Q1) and extends transversally to the advancing direction (A); first conveying means (14b, 15b, 14b′) comprise one of a sealing element (22b) or a counter-sealing element (22a); and a first half-shell (21b), which is movable along the operative branch (Q1) between: a first rest position, in which it is detached from the tube (2) or the formed pack (3); and a first operative position, in which it grips the tube (2) or the formed pack (3); the first half-shell (21b) is arranged in the first operative position along a first portion (34b) of the first operative branch (Q1); the first half-shell (21b) is kept in the first operative position along an initial portion (35b), so as to grip and convey the pack (3) in a staggered position with respect to the advancing direction (A); and moves, from the first operative position to the rest position at an end (36b) of the initial portion (35b) opposite to the first portion (34b), so as to discharge the pack (3) in a staggered position with respect to the advancing direction (A).
METHOD FOR APPLYING A SEAL TO A PLATE
The invention relates to a method for applying a joint (2, 102) onto a plate (3), in particular a plate having shape defects. An edge of interest is defined on a portion of the plate (3) onto which the joint (2, 102) is intended to be applied. The plate (3) is then placed on a tool (4, 104) comprising a supporting element (5, 105) made of solid material and a supporting element (6, 106) made of flexible material, in such a way that the edge of interest rests on a portion of the supporting element made of flexible material. While the joint is applied onto the edge of interest, the plate is maintained in a predetermined reference position and the element made of flexible material is pushed against the plate, perpendicularly to an outer surface of the element made of flexible material, the outer surface being opposite to the surface on which the edge of interest rests.
Protective film press and method of use
A protective film press using commercially available anti-graffiti film for the production of a multi-layer protective film. The invention provides a relatively simple and economical manufacturing device and method to produce a multi-layer protective film which has historically required expensive and complex methods and equipment. The protective film press comprising a frame chassis, a plurality of mounting assemblies detachably attached to the frame chassis, first and second motorized pull roller assemblies repositionably mounted on the frame chassis, a pair of pressure rollers that pneumatically press the anti-graffiti films into a vertically stacked multi-layer configuration, and at least one alignment roller repositionably mounted on the frame chassis. A preferred embodiment of present invention also includes means for controlling the speed at which the first and second motorized pull roller assemblies operate and also a means for providing pressure for the pair of pressure rollers.
Methods and Apparatus for Positioning a Structure on a Polymer Layer
Methods and apparatus for positioning a structure on a polymer layer are described. A method may involve forming a first polymer layer. The method may further involve positioning, by an apparatus, a structure on the first polymer layer, where the apparatus comprises a rod having a first end that supports the structure as the structure is being positioned and a plunger located around the first end of the rod that presses the structure onto the first polymer layer as the structure is being positioned. And the method may involve forming a second polymer layer over the first polymer layer and the structure, where the first polymer layer defines a first side of a body-mountable device and the second polymer layer defines a second side of the body-mountable device opposite the first side.
