Device for manufacturing a pouch accommodated in a wrapping
The present invention relates to a device for manufacturing a pouch containing a brewable material accommodated in a wrapping, comprising a pouch manufacturing device adapted to manufacture a pouch containing brewable material, and a sealing station with jaw elements forming opposing sealing surfaces acting on the wrapping from opposite sides for sealing the pouch. The device according to the invention allows a more economical production of a packaging unit comprising a pouch in the wrapping and has a trough-shaped recess in which a helically laid heating conductor is accommodated.
Method for producing a cartridge and cartridge
A cartridge for a dispensing device contains at least one elongate film pouch, which is inherently non-rigid and which has a chamber for receiving a composition. The cartridge also contains a head part for interacting with the film pouch. The film pouch has an opening on a side facing the head part, which is closed by a cover. The cover has a predetermined breaking region. A method can be used for producing such a cartridge.
INDUCTION WELDING WITH AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD CONCENTRATOR
During a manufacturing method, an induction welder is provided that includes a concentrator and a coil extending through a receptacle in the concentrator. The receptacle projects into the concentrator from a face surface of the concentrator. A first thermoplastic body arranged with a second thermoplastic body are provided. The first thermoplastic body is located next to the face surface. The first thermoplastic body is induction welded to the second thermoplastic body to provide a weld seam between the first thermoplastic body and the second thermoplastic body. The concentrator extends along a portion of the weld seam. The induction welding includes: generating an electromagnetic field with the coil; and concentrating a portion of the electromagnetic field with the concentrator onto a region of the first thermoplastic body.
Apparatus and method of making containers
An apparatus is configured to make containers from sheet material. The apparatus includes a supply station for supplying a film having at least one folded portion having three or more film flaps folded and superimposed with respect to each other; a welding station configured to receive the film. The welding station comprises a welding head configured for welding the folded portion of the film and forming a container defining a housing compartment; the welding head comprises a heater made of electrically conductive material whose electrical resistivity, at least in a predetermined temperature range, decreases upon the increase of the temperature of the same electrically conductive material.
COMPOSITE TAPE SPLICING
A method of manufacturing an armour layer of a flexible pipe for transporting fluid from a subsea location and apparatus are provided. The method comprises winding a first length of composite tape to form a first section of the armour layer and positioning an end region of the first length of composite tape over an end region of a second length of composite tape to form an overlapping tape section. Heat and pressure is applied to the overlapping tape section to form a joined overlapping tape section in which the first length of tape is joined to the second length of tape such that the joined overlapping tape section has a lap shear strength of at least 11 MPa. The joined overlapping tape section and the second length of composite tape are wound to form a second section of the armour layer.

A heating element for resistance welding of thermoplastic components includes an electrically conductive sheet with cut-outs, wherein a ratio of cut-outs to electrically conductive sheet changes at least along a transverse direction of the sheet, so that an electrical resistance of the sheet has a maximum at a center of the sheet. A welding kit includes the heating element and an electrical insulation layer. A method of manufacturing the heating element, and a method of employing the heating element for welding two thermoplastic components to one another are disclosed.

In order to thermally cure a thermosetting adhesive quickly and with less energy, the bonded article (10) according to the present invention comprises an adherend member (1) having a thermal conductivity of 1 w/m.Math.K or more, an adherend member (2) made of a material which can adhere to the adherend member (1), and an adhesion portion that is formed of a cured product of a thermosetting adhesive (3) and that is in contact with both the adherend member (1) and the adherend member (2), wherein the adherend member (1) has a heat transfer-inhibiting structure (4) which inhibits the transfer of heat from a portion thereof in contact with the adhesive (3) to a peripheral portion thereof.
Method of resistively welding parts and parts made thereby
A method of securing a first component part and a second component part together, the method comprising providing an electrically conductive member between a first surface of the first component part and a facing first surface of the second component part and securing the first and second components together by passing a current through the electrically conductive member. The electrically conductive member is distributed across at least 50% of the surface area of the first surface of the first component part.
