Pumpable crib bag
A pumpable crib bag may include a body defining a longitudinal axis, at least one reinforcing wire helically extending about the longitudinal axis and along a length of the body, and at least one pocket configured to hold the at least one reinforcing wire therein. The at least one reinforcing wire may include a first material and a second material.
Laser-welded body and production method therefor
A laser-welded body includes at least three of resin members, which contain a thermoplastic resin including: a first resin member which is a laser-irradiated subject, has an absorbance a.sub.1 of 0.01 to 0.12; a second resin member which has an absorbance a.sub.2 of 0.1 to 0.9 and includes a butted part where ends of one or more resin members are brought into contact with each other; and a third resin member which has an absorbance a.sub.3 of 0.2 to 3.8, and the absorbances a.sub.2, a.sub.3 exhibited by the second resin member and the third resin member are attributed to the inclusion of nigrosine as a laser beam absorbent therein, and the resin members are overlapped in the above mentioned to form contacted parts at these interfaces, at least a part of the butted part and/or the contacted parts are laser-welded.
Foam-in-bag systems and components thereof
A system includes a dip tube, a feed line, and a check valve. The dip tube is inserted through an opening in a source of chemical precursor and into the chemical precursor in the source. A portion of the feed line is located in the dip tube. The feed line passes out of the dip tube. The chemical precursor is capable of flowing out of the source through the feed line in a downstream direction. The check valve is located in the portion of the feed line in the dip tube. The check valve permits the chemical precursor to pass substantially only in the downstream direction. The feed line is coupled to a transfer pump that draws the chemical precursor out of the source through the portion of the feed line in the dip tube.
HEAT SEAL DEVICE
A heat seal device for use in a bag making apparatus includes: a first heat seal member; a second heat seal member facing the first heat seal member; a heater for heating at least one of the first heat seal member or the second heat seal member; a drive mechanism configured to move the first heat seal member towards and away from the second heat seal member so as to releasably sandwich a web between the first and second heat seal members; a sensor disposed to detect acceleration of the first heat seal member; and a measurement part configured to measure a sandwiching time during which the web is sandwiched by the first and second heat seal members based on data from the sensor.
MULTILAYER SEALED SKIN FOR A PRESSURIZED FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE AND FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE USING SUCH A SKIN
A multilayer sealed skin, in particular for an inflatable structure and that includes a first polymer film, a reinforcing fabric disposed on the first polymer film and a second polymer film disposed on the reinforcing fabric and adhered by means of an adhesive to the first polymer film through cavities in the reinforcing fabric. The skin can be applied to the production of an inflatable structural element such as an inflatable beam for which the skin forms an outer wall of the structural element and for which the first film of the skin forms an inner face of the outer wall of the structural element, and the second film forms an outer face of the wall.
Method and apparatus for shaping webs in a vertical form, fill, and sealing system
A method and apparatus for pleating or otherwise shaping a web are described herein. The method and apparatus may have numerous applications. In some embodiments, the method and apparatus are used in the formation, filling, and sealing of unit dose packages for consumer products. A method and apparatus for forming sealing two moving webs together, which webs have portions that are non-planar are also described herein.
Bleach Compatible Polyolefin Mattress Cover
A bleach compatible mattress cover made of a non-woven polyolefin material and defining an interior cavity. The interior cavity configured to receive a mattress structure which may include a first and second support structure disposed in the interior cavity. In certain embodiments, the mattress cover has a Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate of greater than or equal 400 to less than 10,000, 7500 or more particularly less than 5000 grams per square meter per day and a hydrostatic head of 100 cm or greater and passes ASTM 1670 and ASTM 1671.
Product wrapping machine and operating method for a product wrapping machine
A product wrapping machine with a plurality of counter-jaws homogenously distributed in a forward movement direction (X), a plurality of jaws moving perpendicular to the forward movement direction (X) from an open position to a closed position against the counter-jaws for sealing together the films wrapping the product to one another and cutting them. The machine also includes a jaw actuator for each jaw causing the corresponding jaw to move in the closing direction. The jaws move together simultaneously in the forward movement direction (X) and move independently from one another in the closing direction. The machine further includes a tensioner suitable for collecting part of the film wrapping the product when a jaw leaves the closed position.
POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE DUNNAGE BAGS AND PROCESSES FOR MANUFACTURING POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE DUNNAGE BAGS
The present disclosure is directed to dunnage bags formed using polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and processes for manufacturing these PET dunnage bags. Generally, the PET dunnage bags of the present disclosure include a PET outer bag, an inner bladder enclosed within the PET outer bag, and a valve assembly that enables air to be introduced into (or escape out of) the inner bladder to inflate (or deflate) the inner bladder, thereby inflating (or deflating) the PET dunnage bag.
SEAM FORMING SYSTEM AND PRODUCTION METHOD
A system and method for forming a seam in at least one piece of material used to form an inflatable product utilizes a seam forming member that is attached to an inside wall of a piece of product material that comprises the inflatable product. The inflatable product is comprised of one or more pieces of product material and one or more seam forming members located at any location where a seam is necessary. A first portion of the seam forming member attaches to a first edge of a first piece of product material and a second portion of the seam forming member attaches proximate a second edge of the first piece of product material. The seal forming means can be accomplished by radio frequency, ultrasonic, heat or other types of welding, and adhesive or chemical based bonding.
