Welding method
A method for welding a first hose end at a joint with a second hose end in a seam that extends on a circumference of the first hose end, the method comprising the steps: applying a protective layer at the joint to an inside of the first hose end; pushing the second hose end beyond the joint over the first hose end; pressing the first hose end and the second hose end together flat at the joint between two first damping jaws that are moved towards each other; welding the first hose end and the second hose end together by two first partial seams while pressed together, wherein the protective layer prevents a welding of the inside of the first hose end; releasing the first hose end and the second hose end from the two first clamping jaws after welding the two first partial seams.
RING DAM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A RING DAM
A ring dam, fitting between a fluid container and a housing for the fluid container, may include an extruded Polyethylene (EPE) foam having an Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) additive.
MULTILAYER INNER TUBE
A multi-layer inner tube for a vehicle wheel, the multi-layer inner tube including an inner layer that is in contact with a gaseous filling of the inner tube; and an outer layer that differs from the inner layer, wherein the outer layer is in contact with an exterior environment of the inner tube, and wherein the inner layer and the outer layer are made from a thermoplastic polyurethane; and an intermediary layer made from an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer arranged between the inner layer and the outer layer.
Cardiovascular Catheter
A steerable catheter including a flexible elongate tube having control line lumens disposed between the inner wall surface and the outer wall surface and extending along a length of the elongate tube. The catheter further includes an anchor disposed at a distal end of the elongate tube. The catheter further includes continuous control lines, extending through the control line lumens. A portion of each of the continuous control lines is secured at the anchor so that retraction toward a proximal end of the elongate tube of ends of the continuous control lines causes movement of the distal end of the elongate tube in two directions in two orthogonal planes of movement.
