Couplings
A coupling component having a first end and a second end, the fitting having a longitudinal axis between the first end and the second end, the first end of the component including a first tubular portion having a first internal diameter adapted to form a sliding fit with a first pipe section, and a first sealer adapted such that the first end can be sealed in use to the first pipe section; the second end having a second diameter or cross-sectional area which is larger than the first diameter and wherein the second end incorporates a flange, wherein at least part of the face of said flange is in a plane substantially non-perpendicular to, or offset from, the longitudinal axis of the component.
Continuous fiber reinforced composite and metal electrofusion coupler
Disclosed embodiments provide an electrofusion pipe coupler with mechanical support. The electrofusion pipe coupler comprises a coupler housing. A wire is configured and disposed within the housing. Electrodes are affixed to the coupler housing and in electrical contact with the wire. A threaded pattern is formed in an outer surface of the coupler housing. Gripping wedges are affixed to the coupler housing. Each gripping wedge extends from the coupler housing. A nut is attached to the coupler housing, engaging with the threaded pattern, and compressing the wedges against the connecting pipes. This serves to provide axial load transfer from the connecting pipes to the coupler housing via the wedges, thereby providing improved mechanical stability for such pipe assemblies.
Connection device for pipe elements
A connection device for plastic pipe elements (1) which allows performing pre-assembly and being finally assembled without requiring skilled labor, having a pipe element (1) with at least one end, a plastic connection element (2) which is connected to an outer surface of the pipe element (1) through the end, which has a resistance wire (3) wound on the outer surface of the pipe element (1) itself.
Plumbing Connections
A plumbing fitting of a first plastic material comprises at least one annular branch defining a hollow port. A sleeve of a second plastic material can be inserted into the hollow port. The sleeve is retained within the hollow port by a retaining member which is fitted to the outer end and outer wall of the annular branch. The sleeve is configured to facilitate attachment of the plumbing fitting to a second plumbing fitting by insertion of the second plumbing fitting into the hollow port, wherein the second plumbing fitting is of the second plastic material.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RESISTIVE IMPLANT WELDING OF REINFORCED THERMOSETTING RESIN PIPE JOINTS IN A SINGLE STEP PROCESS
A system for coupling pipes includes a first pipe having a tapered, spigot end; a second pipe having a tapered, spigot end; a coupler having two tapered socket ends adapted to internally receive the respective tapered, spigot ends of the first pipe and the second pipe; and a resistive element. The first pipe, the second pipe, and the coupler are made from a reinforced thermosetting resin (RTR). The resistive element includes a first layer and a second layer of thermoplastic material; and an electrically conducting resistive heating element with positive and negative terminals for connecting electrical power. The electrically conducting resistive heating element is sandwiched by the first layer and the second layer of thermoplastic material. The resistive element is disposed between an interior of the coupler and at least one of: an exterior of the first pipe and an exterior of the second pipe. Upon application of electrical power to the positive and negative terminals of the resistive element, the electrically conducting resistive heating element generates heat sufficient to melt the thermoplastic material such that, when the heat is removed, the hardened thermoplastic material seals the first pipe and/or the second pipe to the coupler.
Rotatable Pipe Adapter
A pipe adapter includes a first tubular element, a second tubular element, and an annular securing member disposed around and fixed to a second portion of the first tubular element. The annular securing member has a flange portion that contacts and secures the second tubular element axially relative to the first tubular element while also allowing the second tubular element to rotate relative to the first tubular element and the annular securing member. An annular sealing member is located around the first portion of the second tubular element to provide an axial seal along the adapter.
Double Pipe System
Double pipe system with a primary pipeline conducting a medium and a secondary pipeline which is arranged around the primary pipeline for protection, containing pipes and fittings of the primary pipeline, wherein the pipes and fittings of the primary pipeline are connected together, and pipes and fittings of the surrounding secondary pipeline, wherein the pipes are configured as one-piece plastics pipes and the fittings are configured as half-shells, wherein the half-shells of the fittings and the adjoining pipes of the secondary pipeline are connected together by means of electric welding sleeves, or in that the half-shells of the fittings and the adjoining fittings consisting of half-shells are connected together by means of electric welding sleeves.
Pipe Elbows and Methods of Manufacture
A method for forming a pipe elbow comprises cutting a first precursor from a pipe. The pipe has an inner diameter surface and an outer diameter surface and a central longitudinal axis. The first precursor has a first end and a second end off parallel to the first end. Machining forms an interior surface having an arcuate centerline. Machining forms welding interfaces at the first end and the second end.
Fluid interaction device, fluid interaction arrangement and method for producing same
A fluid interaction device for establishing an interaction with a fluid, particularly a brake fluid or a fuel fluid. A housing member accommodates a fluid interaction portion. The fluid interaction portion is adapted to interact with a fluid within the housing member. The housing member further comprises a connection portion which can be connected to a fluid supply element. The connection portion is formed as a weldable, tubular end portion so that the housing member can be connected to a joining portion of the fluid supply element by means of a welded joint.
Method and device for producing a butt-welded joint
The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing a butt-welded joint between two pipe segments (38, 39) of a pipe (27, 28) made of a weldable plastic material, each pipe segment being held by a gripping means (14, 15), pipe end cross-sections of the pipe segments (38, 39) being machined with the aid of a tool means (11) for forming welding contact surfaces (40, 41), said tool means (11) being disposed in a stationary manner in a separating plane (37) for machining the welding contact surfaces (40, 41) and a separating cut for forming the pipe segments (38, 39) being realised by the gripping means (14, 15) moving the pipe (27, 28) relative to the tool means (11) in the separating plane (37), said separating cut simultaneously serving to form the welding contact surfaces (40, 41).
