Couplings
A coupling component having a first end and a second end, the fitting having a longitudinal axis between the first end and the second end, the first end of the component including a first tubular portion having a first internal diameter adapted to form a sliding fit with a first pipe section, and a first sealer adapted such that the first end can be sealed in use to the first pipe section; the second end having a second diameter or cross-sectional area which is larger than the first diameter and wherein the second end incorporates a flange, wherein at least part of the face of said flange is in a plane substantially non-perpendicular to, or offset from, the longitudinal axis of the component.
Continuous fiber reinforced composite and metal electrofusion coupler
Disclosed embodiments provide an electrofusion pipe coupler with mechanical support. The electrofusion pipe coupler comprises a coupler housing. A wire is configured and disposed within the housing. Electrodes are affixed to the coupler housing and in electrical contact with the wire. A threaded pattern is formed in an outer surface of the coupler housing. Gripping wedges are affixed to the coupler housing. Each gripping wedge extends from the coupler housing. A nut is attached to the coupler housing, engaging with the threaded pattern, and compressing the wedges against the connecting pipes. This serves to provide axial load transfer from the connecting pipes to the coupler housing via the wedges, thereby providing improved mechanical stability for such pipe assemblies.
METHOD FOR CHECKING, AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING, COMPONENTS OF A PIPE PRIOR TO WELDING
The invention relates to a method for checking, prior to welding, two components made of polymer material, the method comprising a step of determining respective values relating to the roughness of the components, a step of determining respective values relating to the cleanliness of the components, a step of determining respective values relating to the temperature of the components and automated means for halting progression to a subsequent method step should the predetermined conditions not be met.
DEVICE FOR MEASURING COMPONENTS OF A PIPE PRIOR TO WELDING
The invention relates to a device (1) for measuring the surface condition of a component (4, 5, 6). Said device (1) comprises a measurement member (2) comprising at least one sensor (21, 22, 23) capable of measuring at least one datum relating to the surface condition of the component (4, 5, 6) and at least one transmitter (24) capable of transmitting the datum from the sensor (21, 22, 23). The measurement device (1) also comprises a support (3) for the measurement member (2), the support comprising means for connecting same to the component (4, 5, 6).
Apparatus and method to repair the junction of a sewer main line and lateral pipe
A liner assembly and method for lining a damaged pipe junction between a main and lateral pipe is provided. The liner assembly includes a main liner member and a lateral liner tube. A collar disposed near the juncture between the main liner member and lateral liner tube is impregnated with a liquid hydrophobic or hydrophilic material capable of curing in a flexible or rigid state with the material expanding in the presence of water. The hydrophobic or hydrophilic material can also be applied without the use of the collar. When the liner assembly is pressed against the main and lateral pipes, a portion of the hydrophilic or hydrophobic material is forced into the damaged pipe junction.
TUBING COUPLER MOLDINGS AND SYSTEMS, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A tubing system with a coupler join positioned between and joining tubing segments. The coupler join is formed to reduce dead legs and hold up volumes within, and/or to reduce materials used to form, and/or to simplify the manufacturing process of the tubing system. The coupler join may be sized, shaped, configured, and/or dimensioned to join tubing segments, such as pre-formed tubing segments, in a streamlined configuration, such as to substantially correspond with the outer and inner diameters of the tubing segments. The tubing system and coupler join may be formed with a mold configured to form a coupler join securely coupling spaced apart ends of tubing segments to be joined together in a configuration which reduces dead legs and hold up volumes within the resulting tubing system.
Double Pipe System
Double pipe system with a primary pipeline conducting a medium and a secondary pipeline which is arranged around the primary pipeline for protection, containing pipes and fittings of the primary pipeline, wherein the pipes and fittings of the primary pipeline are connected together, and pipes and fittings of the surrounding secondary pipeline, wherein the pipes are configured as one-piece plastics pipes and the fittings are configured as half-shells, wherein the half-shells of the fittings and the adjoining pipes of the secondary pipeline are connected together by means of electric welding sleeves, or in that the half-shells of the fittings and the adjoining fittings consisting of half-shells are connected together by means of electric welding sleeves.
TUBING AND JUNCTION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A tubing and junction assembly and method of making the same are disclosed. The assembly includes a shell having a bore extending from a first opening to a second opening, and a third opening extending from an exterior surface of the shell to a first end portion of the bore. A tubing is seated within the bore. A bonding agent is disposed between the tubing and the shell. The method of making the tubing and junction assembly includes forming or providing a shell, inserting an end of the tubing through the first opening into the shell, inserting a bonding agent through the third opening of the shell into a gap between the tubing and the shell, and curing the bonding agent to join the tubing to the shell.
Chemically joined sprinkler assembly and fitting with internal reservoir
A sprinkler assembly includes a sprinkler body and a tubular connection fitting. The tubular connection fitting includes a first end for connection to a fluid supply pipe and a second end with the sprinkler body inserted therein, the tubular member including an outer surface and an inner surface defining an internal conduit extending along a longitudinal axis, the inner surface of the tubular member includes a first stop surface spaced from the first end to define an insertion depth for the fluid supply pipe and a second stop surface to limit insertion of the sprinkler body into the second end. The first stop surface defines an annular channel for housing an end of the fluid supply pipe.
Fluid interaction device, fluid interaction arrangement and method for producing same
A fluid interaction device for establishing an interaction with a fluid, particularly a brake fluid or a fuel fluid. A housing member accommodates a fluid interaction portion. The fluid interaction portion is adapted to interact with a fluid within the housing member. The housing member further comprises a connection portion which can be connected to a fluid supply element. The connection portion is formed as a weldable, tubular end portion so that the housing member can be connected to a joining portion of the fluid supply element by means of a welded joint.
