Inflatable bladders for use in footwear and other articles of manufacture
The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable bladders for use in articles of manufacture. The method includes the steps of providing a first polymer film, applying a curable release coating to the polymer film in a pattern that corresponds to the configuration of the inflatable bladder, curing the release coating to the first polymer film, providing a second polymer film with the first polymer film to form a layered element such that the release coating is disposed between the polymer films, positioning the layered element between two plies of material, applying heat and pressure to adhere the polymer films together except in the area where the release coating has been applied to form an inflatable compartment surrounded by a sealed perimeter, and removing the plies of material from the adhered first and second polymer films.
DEVICE AND FORMING METHOD OF DEVICE
A device comprises a first seal member, a second seal member, a first circuit member, a second circuit member and one or more compressive members. The first seal member has a first outer portion having a first seal portion, and a first inner portion located inward of the first outer portion. The second seal member has a second outer portion having a second seal portion, and a second inner portion located inward of the second outer portion. The first seal portion and the second seal portion are bonded together. The first circuit member and the second circuit member are shut in a closed space which is enclosed by the first inner portion and the second inner portion. One of the compressive members is located between the first seal member and the first circuit member or located between the second seal member and the second circuit member.
Insulated container
A container is formed to include an interior region and a mouth opening into the interior region. The container includes a floor and a side wall coupled to the floor to define the interior region between the floor and the side wall.
Insulative container
An insulated sleeve is provided to be coupled to an outer surface of a cup. The sleeve is formed from an insulative cellular non-aromatic polymeric material having an area of plastic deformation. There are no fractures in the insulative cellular non-aromatic polymeric material so that a predetermined insulative characteristic is maintained in the material.
METHOD FOR FORMING EASILY SEPARABLE PORTION IN PACKAGING FILM, PACKAGE BAG HAVING EASILY SEPARABLE PORTION, AND FILLING-PACKING MACHINE
[PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED]
To provide a method for readily forming an easily separable portion having an adhesive strength that is required as a package bag on packaging film, a package bag having an easily separable portion formed by this method, and a filling-packing machine utilizing this method.
[SOLUTION]
A method forming an easily separable portion in packaging film by interposing at least two packaging films between a horn emitting ultrasonic waves and an anvil oppositely disposed to the horn, and vibrating the packaging films by the ultrasonic waves, in which a vibratable layer is provided on the packaging film in at least one of the horn side and the anvil side.
FORMABLE FILMS, LAMINATE STRUCTURES, AND RELATED METHODS
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a blister package having a laminate structure that is heat-sealable to a lacquer layer on strain-hardened aluminum foil. The blister package includes a lid layer comprising a strain-hardened aluminum foil, a lacquer layer on a sealing surface of the strain-hardened aluminum foil and a laminate structure sealed directly to the lacquer layer. The laminate structure includes a multilayer film and a plurality of wells formed therethrough. The multilayer film includes a first formable layer of a thermoplastic material and a sealing layer of a copolyester material. The sealing layer overlies the first formable layer and has an outer surface opposite the first formable layer. The sealing layer has crystallinity from 5% to 20% as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The outer surface of the sealing layer is sealed directly against the lacquer layer.
Process for modifying and joining oriented pipes
The invention relates to a modification process for modifying a biaxially oriented pipe, comprising a) providing a biaxially oriented pipe made by stretching a tube made of a thermoplastic polymer composition in the axial direction and in the peripheral direction, b) placing an insert within an end portion of the pipe, wherein the outer periphery of the cross section of the insert substantially matches the inner periphery of the cross section of the pipe and c) heating the end portion such that the end portion axially shrinks while the inner periphery of the cross section of the end portion is substantially maintained, to obtain a modified biaxially oriented pipe with a thickened end portion.
SEALS FOR AERIAL VEHICLES
Aspects of the disclosure relate to envelopes for aerial vehicle. The aerial vehicle may include an envelope including a plurality of gores. The aerial vehicle may also include a seal arranged between a pair of the plurality of gores, the seal including six layers of envelope material heat-sealed together.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO FACILITATE PLASTIC FILM PROCESSING
A system includes a film processing module, a processor, and memory. The processor and memory are in communication with the film processing module. The processor is configured to dynamically coordinate movement of the film processing module relative to a moving web of film and to perform a function on the web of film with the film processing module.
Washable, waterproof, sealable and reusable storage bags
Disclosed are embodiments of a versatile storage bag and methods of making same. The versatile storage bag may have first and second sidewalls, a double-locking closure mechanism with a first closure element extending along the first sidewall and a second closure element extending along the second sidewall, each closure element having a channel and an elongated member configured for interlocking with one another. A double-seal along three sides of the first sidewall and the second sidewall form a gusset between two seals, leaving an opening through the double-locking closure mechanism. Corner seals may be formed at the corners of the first and second sidewalls, further reinforcing the double-locking closure mechanism for an airtight and hence waterproof seal. The versatile storage bag may be made of a food-grade polyethylene vinyl acetate blend, approximately 90% or less ethylene vinyl acetate and approximately 10% or less polyethylene.
