High frequency adhesive bonding
A system and method for bonding a first layer of material to a second layer of material includes a first electrically conductive plate, a second electrically conductive plate spaced apart from the first electrically conductive plate. The second electrically conductive plate is electrically grounded. A high frequency generator in electrical communication with the first electrically conductive plate supplies high frequency electrical signals to the first electrically conductive plate. An adhesive applied to one of the first and second layers of material has an electromagnetic susceptor material that when subjected to the electric field heats the adhesive to an adhesive curing temperature to bond the first layer of material to the second layer of material. A clamping mechanism applies pressure to one of the first and second layers of material to maintain contact between the first and second layers until an adhesive cure time has lapsed.
LAMINATED MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A method for manufacturing a laminated molded body includes a cutting-out step for cutting out a cushion layer to form a cut-out part; a base material laminating step for forming a first laminated body; an insulating material placing step of attaching an insulating material to the cut-out part; a first thermocompression bonding step for bonding the first laminated body by thermocompression; a removing step for removing the cut-out part to form an opening; a skin laminating step for forming a second laminated body; and a second thermocompression bonding step for bonding the skin at the opening part to the lower layer material by bonding the second laminated body by thermocompression, the lower layer material being arranged below the cushion layer having the opening part.
A HIGH-FREQUENCY WELDING METHOD
High-frequency welding method for welding an accessory to a substrate by high-frequency welding machinery which includes a female mold, having a cavity formed by a profile having substantially the same shape and dimensions as the accessory, and a male mold, having a relief formed by a profile having substantially the same shape and dimensions as the accessory. The method includes: mounting the female mold on a movable upper plate of the machinery and the male mold on a fixed lower plate of the machinery, or vice versa, such that the profile of the cavity is aligned in a closure direction of the molds with the profile of the relief. The method further includes: positioning the accessory on the relief or in the cavity; positioning the substrate above the accessory; moving the upper plate towards the lower plate; supplying high-frequency welding energy to the upper plate and/or to the lower plate.
Automated identification and assembly of shoe parts
Manufacturing and assembly of a shoe or a portion of a shoe is enhanced by automated placement and assembly of shoe parts. For example, a part-recognition system analyzes an image of a shoe part to identify the part and determine a location of the part. Once the part is identified and located, the part can be manipulated by an automated manufacturing tool.
Method of 3D printing plastic molding compound on foil ply
A method for producing a molded body having the following steps: a) providing a foil ply; b) applying a plastic molding compound in a predefined three-dimensional shape onto the foil ply by means of a three-dimensional printing method.
Method and machine for bonding a flexible coating to a support using electromagnetic waves and lining produced in this way
A machine (1) and a method for thermobonding using an emission of electromagnetic waves (13), for example microwaves, to activate one or a plurality of adhesive layers located between a support and one or a plurality of layers of flexible covering, through a bed of particles (4) fluidized by a humidified gas. A multi-layer upholstery item including at least one non-permeable layer and produced in a single operation is also described.
HIGH FREQUENCY ADHESIVE BONDING

The second electrically conductive plate is electrically grounded. A high frequency generator in electrical communication with the first electrically conductive plate supplies high frequency electrical signals to the first electrically conductive plate. An adhesive applied to one of the first and second layers of material has an electromagnetic susceptor material that when subjected to the electric field heats the adhesive to an adhesive curing temperature to bond the first layer of material to the second layer of material. A clamping mechanism applies pressure to one of the first and second layers of material to maintain contact between the first and second layers until an adhesive cure time has lapsed.
Apparatus for sealing an edge of a material
An apparatus is described for securing an edge of the material to a support surface. A guide surface is positioned adjacent the edge to be secured. A weld head engages the edge of the material in a plurality of locations. A drive mechanism advances the weld head on the guide surface. The weld head engages the edge of the material and transfers energy to secure the edge of material in the desired position on the support surface.
