Tire
A tire that includes a decorative pattern formed on a surface of a sidewall portion. The decorative pattern is formed such that a plurality of ridges that extend in a tire radial direction are aligned in a tire circumferential direction so as to form gaps. A transverse cross-section of each ridge is tapered so as to gradually reduce a length along the surface such that the greater a distance from the surface is, the less the length along the surface is. The decorative pattern is structured so as to satisfy expressions (1) and (2):
20≤A≤40 (1)
0.15≤C≤0.25 (2)
wherein A represents a taper angle (degree) of the ridge, and C represents a minimum length (mm) of each gap measured along the surface.

The molding surface of the insert also has a second texture pattern (27) chosen such that the surface molded by the second texture pattern contrasts with the surface molded by the marking pattern (26), and contrasts barely, if at all, with the surface molded by the first texture pattern (24).
Tire
Provided is a tire provided with a mark capable of reducing the air resistance during tire rotation while maintaining good visibility. A tire is provided with a mark on a tire side portion. The mark includes a first mark located on an outer side in a tire radial direction, and a second mark located inward of the first mark in the tire radial direction. Each of the first mark and the second mark includes a recess that is recessed from a side profile surface of the tire side portion. A depth of the recess of the first mark from the side profile surface is smaller than a depth of the recess of the second mark from the side profile surface.
System and method for acquisition of tire sidewall data from a moving vehicle
A drive-through vehicle inspection system acquiring information from engraved markings on the tire sidewalls of a moving vehicle. Optical imaging sensors disposed on opposite sides of the vehicle acquire images of the sidewall surfaces for each passing wheel assembly. The acquired images are evaluated by a processing system configured to identify, within the acquired images, visible markings engraved into the tire sidewall surfaces which include at first portion having a first optical reflectivity, and a second portion having a second optical reflectivity which is different from the first optical reflectivity. Each identified marking is decoded to retrieve data stored therein, representative of the tire, wheel assembly, and/or associated vehicle onto which the wheel assembly is installed. The retrieved data is incorporated into an inspection report and/or utilized by the vehicle inspection system to access vehicle-specific information contained within an indexed database.
A LABEL FOR A TYRE OF VEHICLE WHEELS, A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAID LABEL AND A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A TYRE INCLUDING SAID LABEL
Abstract: A label (1; 50) for a tyre (100) of vehicle wheels comprises: at least a first layer (4) which is made of an elastomer material which is compatible with the elastomer material of a sidewall (102) of the tyre, an external surface (2) which is intended to remain visible when the label is coupled to the sidewall, a plurality of recesses (10) which are formed at the external surface (2) and which are capable of generally defining at least one portion of information which is set out on the label (1; 50). The elastomer material of which the first layer (4) is made comprises a quantity of a halogenated isobutylene polymer greater than 5 phr.
Combined Production Method for a Moulding Tool for the Moulding Vulcanization of a Vehicle Tire and Vehicle Tire
A method for producing a molding tool (5) of a vulcanization device for the molding vulcanization of a vehicle tire (1), wherein the molding tool (5) has a negative contrast structure (6) on a molding surface of the molding tool (5), with the following steps: a) providing the molding tool (5) having the molding surface for the stamping of a surface (2, 3) of a vehicle tire (1) in a molding manner in the course of the vulcanization of the tire by means of the vulcanization device, b) creating a first surface structure (9) of first depressions (10) by means of a machining process, wherein the first surface structure (9) extends at least over a surface region (7) of the molding surface, c) creating a second surface structure (11) of second depressions (12) by means of laser engraving, wherein the second structure (11) extends at least over the surface region (7) and wherein the first surface structure (9) and the second surface structure (11) together form the negative contrast structure (6) in the surface region (7).
Tire with new sidewall pattern, and tire mold
Provided are a tire with new sidewall pattern and a tire mold, which belongs to the technical field of tire, the tire includes a tire body, a sidewall of the tire body has a labeling region, in which multiple pattern units are provided; the pattern units are provided to protrude from the tire body, the pattern unit includes a curved portion having a curved segment and extension ends provided at both ends of the curved segment. The tire mold is used for manufacturing the tire. The tire has better visual performance and mechanical performance.
