MATERIAL FOR DEVELOPING/MAINTAINING OR COMPENSATING FOR MOTOR SKILLS
Described herein is a flexible but resilient material comprising a soft outside shell and an internal flexible but resilient support core, as well as a method for constructing such a flexible but resilient material that can have multiple applications, including being used to manufacture an improved shoelace to help young children, individuals who are physically challenged, and/or who have a limiting physical disability.
Vented Garment
The technology described herein relates to breathable, vented, and insulating garments. More particularly, the technology described herein relates to articles with a plurality of interconnected chambers that are configured to retain a thermally insulating fill material such as down or synthetic fibers. The plurality of interconnected chambers are formed between at least two layers of material and between a plurality of seams. The plurality of seams are configured to join the at least two layers of material together. In one aspect, each seam of the plurality of seams is angularly oriented with respect to an adjacent or neighboring seam of the plurality of seams. One or more openings or perforations may be formed on one or more seams of the plurality of seams forming the plurality of interconnected chambers. The one or more openings may achieve evaporation of moisture and/or air transfer from an interior environment of the garment to an exterior environment.
LATENT ELASTIC OLEFIN FILM LAMINATES AND METHODS OF MAKING ABSORBENT ARTICLES INCORPORATING THE SAME
A latent elastic film laminate is provided including a film predominantly comprising olefin elastomers. The film is stretched and maintained in a stretched state in order to impart the desired level of latent elasticity such that the conditioned film laminate will shrink upon activation, such as by heating. The latent elastic film laminate can be advantageously used in the manufacture of various elasticated articles, including absorbent personal care articles, by activating the latent elasticity after attachment to the article and thereby shirring and elasticizing components to which the film laminate is attached.
Method of forming a raised three-dimensional decorative image on a fabric product and cap made thereby
A wearable article and, particularly, an article of headwear having a raised, three-dimensional decorative image and a method of forming the wearable article having the raised, three-dimensional decorative image. The article of headwear having at least one fabric panel with a non-embroidered, ornamental image. At least a portion of the fabric panel with the ornamental image is embossed in relief, to define an embossed portion of the fabric panel with the first surface of the embossed portion of the fabric panel having a raised profile and contour above a remaining portion of the first surface of the fabric panel, to define a three-dimensional effect to at least a portion of the ornamental image on the fabric panel.
CAP AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME
A cap and a method for forming the same are provided. An integrally formed outer layer of fabric and an integrally formed moldable layer are adhesively bonded together to form a moldable panel. A curved edge of the moldable panel is then formed by a mold. After that, the moldable panel and at least one second panel are connected to form a crown, to which a peak is subsequently connected to form the cap. Once the curved edge of the moldable panel is formed by heating and pressure application through the mold, the integrally formed moldable layer keeps the moldable panel in shape, so there is no need to support the outer layer of fabric and curve, for example, the front panel with two pieces of buckram that are stitched together, as is conventionally required.
Apparatus for manufacturing hair cap
Proposed is an apparatus for manufacturing a hair cap. A rubber band mounting unit is formed on one side of the top surface of the workbench. A rubber band conveying unit is formed on the top surface of the workbench and grips the expanded rubber band. A nonwoven fabric cutting unit is formed on the other side of the top surface of the workbench to cut a nonwoven fabric. A nonwoven fabric fusing unit couples the rubber band, conveyed by the rubber band conveying unit, to the nonwoven fabric. A driving unit makes the rubber band conveying unit reciprocate to the rubber band mounting unit or the nonwoven fabric fusing unit. A collecting unit grips and collects the fused hair cap. Processes for placing the rubber band on the peripheral edge of the nonwoven fabric and bonding same are performed rapidly in succession.
Remoldable impact-attenuation article
Aspects herein provide for a remoldable article configured to attenuate or reduce the results of an impact. The article comprises a plate that is remoldable in a temperature range of about 41 degrees Celsius to about 43.3 degrees Celsius.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MECHANORECEPTION STIMULATION FABRIC
A method for manufacturing a mechanoreception fabric for incorporation into a garment or item of apparel sets a liquid substrate to a fabric weave to produce a plurality of protuberances in graticulate array and spaced apart across a surface of the fabric. The plurality of protuberances includes pyramidal nodes, each independent and separate from other nodes, not less than 1 mm apart at the base and not more than 5 mm apart at each apex and 1.5 mm in height. Because the nodes are separated and not in contact with each other, the fabric produced is still stretchable and wearable when incorporated into an item of apparel despite the nodes having a hardness of between Shore A 60 and 80.
Absorbent core, articles comprising said core, and methods of making
An absorbent core comprising a front portion; a back portion; a middle portion positioned between the front portion and the back portion; and a longitudinal axis extending along a length of said core and crossing said front, middle and back portions, the absorbent core having a width extending perpendicular to said length and a perimeter comprising at least two opposing ends and at least two opposing sides positioned between said ends wherein the absorbent core comprises one or more channels having a first shape when the absorbent core is in dry state and a second shape when the absorbent core is in wet state and wherein said first and second shapes are different.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing absorbent sanitary products and an absorbent sanitary product
A method for manufacturing absorbent sanitary products, comprising the steps of: forming a first and a second continuous elastic band, which are movable parallel to each other in a machine direction, fixing a plurality of absorbent panels between said first and second continuous elastic bands, arranged in a direction transverse to the machine direction, and spaced apart in said machine direction, wherein each of said elastic bands is formed by means of a method comprising the steps of: continuously feeding a plurality of tensioned elastic threads (30) in said machine direction, continuously feeding a pair of non-elastic webs arranged on opposite sides of said plurality of elastic threads, welding said pair of non-elastic webs to each other by means of a welding pattern comprising anchoring welds and/or containing and guiding welds.
