The present invention provides a release film comprising a base layer formed of a polyester resin and a surface layer formed of a tetrafluoroethylene resin that comprises an electrically conductive filler, and the release film has a surface resistivity Rs of 1×10.sup.11Ω or less. Preferably, the electrically conductive filler comprises carbon black, and the tetrafluoroethylene resin further comprises particles having an average particle size of 1 μm to 15 μm determined by laser diffraction particle size analysis.

Blow molded composite devices and method

The present disclosure is directed toward a composite balloon comprising a layer of material having a porous microstructure (e.g., ePTFE or expanded polyethylene) and a thermoplastic polymeric layer useful for medical applications. The layers of the composite balloons become adhered through a stretch blow-molding process. Methods of making and using such composite balloons are also described amongst others.

HOSE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOSE, AND HYDRAULIC PUMP

Provided are a hose excelling in a lightweight property and in fatigue fracture resistance, a method for manufacturing the hose, and a hydraulic pump. The hose includes a tube, an interior of the tube being hollow, continuous carbon fibers and/or continuous glass fibers wound around an outer circumference of the tube, and a thermosetting resin present external to the tube. The thermosetting resin has an elastic modulus from 0.5 to 10 MPa, and the continuous carbon fibers and/or continuous glass fibers are impregnated with at least a part of the thermosetting resin. The elastic modulus of the thermosetting resin is a numeric value determined by: heating the thermosetting resin for 2 hours at a curing temperature of the thermosetting resin; then subjecting the thermosetting resin to thermoregulation for two weeks under a condition of a temperature of 23° C. and a relative humidity of 55%; and then performing a measurement in accordance with JIS K7161:2019.

Method for Producing Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Components
20170348925 · 2017-12-07 ·

Disclosed is a method for producing components from fiber-reinforced thermoplastic on the basis of fiber tapes impregnated with matrix material. The method includes manufacturing a multitude of semi-finished products, each of which has a plurality of non-consolidated layers of fiber tapes. The semi-finished products are placed in a consolidation device in such a way that the semi-finished products are in direct contact with one another. The semi-finished products are then consolidated using the consolidation device and the semi-finished products are at least partially joined to one another during the consolidation process. The joined semi-finished products are then cut apart using a cutting device.

Disclosed is a method for producing components from fiber-reinforced thermoplastic. The method involves manufacturing a multitude of semifinished products, each of which includes a plurality of impregnated fabric layers that are joined to one another only locally, as well as a frame structure having at least one cutout. The semifinished products are consolidated using a consolidation device, an inlay element being placed in each cutout before the semifinished products are consolidated.

Non-metallic high pressure high temperature high chemical compatibility flange isolation gasket
11454340 · 2022-09-27 ·

A non-metallic flange isolation gasket kit sealing flanged pipeline connections and flanged vessel connections while providing electrical isolation protection between flanges suited for high-pressure and high-temperature cathodic protection applications is presented. The invention protects flange faces from media induced corrosion and mitigates flange rotation induced fatigue and failures. The invention comprises of a retainer, a seal, and a seal pre-load structural ring. The seal pre-load structural ring is inserted into the seal, and seal outer diameter surface is joined to the retainer inner diameter surface. A second embodiment comprises of a composite gasket blank, comprising of a retainer and a seal, and a seal pre-load structural ring. The seal outer diameter surface and the retainer inner diameter surface are joined by thermal fusion bonding. The invention may further comprise one or more gasket seating stress stabilizers and/or a centering ring. Tapered retainer upper and lower surfaces decrease flange rotation.
