A Method of Manufacturing An External Breast Prosthesis and Said Prosthesis
A method of manufacturing an external breast prosthesis (12), includes the steps of providing a 3D image of the breast prosthesis, forming the breast prosthesis using an additive manufacturing process, in which additive manufacturing process the breast prosthesis is made by forming a structure of a thermoplastic elastomer, the structure corresponding to the 3D image of the breast prosthesis, wherein the structure is a reticulated solid foam.
Plastics-based manufactured article and processes for forming said article
An oriented polymer composition (OPC) article comprising a body having a length, which is greater than any perpendicular dimension, comprised of an OPC having a softening temperature, the body having an outer surface extending the length of the body, having polymer strands aligned in the lengthwise direction of the body, wherein the length dimension stability is greater than 99% when tested by heating the article for 24 hours at temperatures at least up to and including 71 degrees Celsius after completion of the manufacture of the article and processes for forming said article.
Polyester film and preperation method thereof
A polyester-based film having excellent scratch resistance, durability, transparency, and visibility and a process for preparing the same. The polyester-based film comprises a base layer and a coating layer on at least one side of the base layer. The light passage according to Relationship 1 is 91% or more, or the total transmittance for light of 380 nm to 780 nm is 92% or more, it has excellent optical properties, durability, visibility, and reliability. Thus, it can be applied to display devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, and laptops. In addition, in the polyester-based film according to an embodiment, the strain with respect to tensile load satisfies a specific range, whereby it is possible to achieve the flexibility that hardly causes deformation even when a certain load is maintained for a long period of time. Thus, it can be applied to flexible display devices, particularly, foldable display devices.
BALLISTIC-RESISTANT HELMET SHELL
The invention relates to a process for producing a ballistic-resistant curved molded article said process comprising forming a stack of a plurality of composite sheets, pressing the stack comprising the composite sheets at a temperature of between 80° C. to 150° C. and a pressure of between 10 and 400 bar for at least 5 minutes to obtain a curved molded article, cooling the compacted stack to a temperature below 80° C. while maintaining the pressure above 10 bar, releasing the pressure from the cooled curved molded article; wherein the composite sheets comprise unidirectionally aligned high tenacity polyethylene fibers and a matrix comprising a polyethylene resin being a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene having a density of between 870 to 980 kg/m.sup.3 when measured according to ISO1183 and a melt flow index of between 0.5 and 50 g/10 min when measured according to ASTM 1238B-13 at a temperature of 190° C. and a weight of 21.6 kg.
Female loop portion having film and filaments anchored by heat-shrinking
A female loop portion for a hook and loop self-adhesive, comprising a film (1) made of at least one thermoplastic and a plurality of filaments (2) which are separate from one another and attached to one of the surfaces of the film, each filament comprising a series of fastening sections (15) and a series of loop sections (4) alternating with the fastening sections, the filaments being attached to the film along the fastening sections while the loop sections are at a distance from the film so as to form loops, and characterized in that a cross-sectional area of one loop section of a filament is less than a cross-sectional area of one fastening section of said one filament.
Post-processing method for polymer electrolyte membrane
A post-processing method of a polymer electrolyte membrane, which anneals and stretches a polymer electrolyte membrane including a hydrocarbon-based copolymer in a vapor atmosphere of a solvent.
COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR SIMULATING A FILLING PROCESS OF A MOLD CAVITY
Described herein is a computer-implemented method for simulating a filling process of a mold cavity in an injection molding process using a plastic material, the method including: i) discretizing at least a part of the mold cavity into a plurality of cells; ii) defining a cavity injection point; iii) determining a surface normal direction perpendicular to the nearest cavity sur-face for each cell; iv) determining a cell coordinate system for each cell, defined by a first principal direction parallel to a flow direction, a third principal direction parallel to the normal direction, and a second principal direction perpendicular to the first and third principal directions; and v) determining the flow direction of a mold flow for each cell.
Oriented polypropylene film with improved blocking resistance
The present disclosure is directed to a film formulation that resulted in a substantially non-migratory cold seal release film with improved blocking resistance. Specifically, the multilayered biaxially oriented polypropylene film can include a core layer of polypropylene homopolymer; a first outer layer on one side of the core layer that can be suitable for sealing, printing, or coating; and a second outer layer on the opposite side of the core layer that is a blocking resistant layer comprising thermoplastic polymers which reduce blocking tendency.
