The reinforcing structure for a tire is in the form of a stratified assembly formed of two layers of reinforcing strips of completely connected cross section, and flattened in shape. The strips of the first layer are spaced apart by a distance that is less than the width of the strips of the second layer and in such a way that the edges of the strips of the first layer overlap the edges of the strips of the second layer. The two layers of strips are separated by a layer of uncoupling rubber.

A method is provided for the co-extrusion of a complex rubber profiled element. The method makes it possible to co-extrude a sublayer in a first material and a tread in a second material with at least one insert in a third material inserted in a discontinuity in the sublayer and in the tread. The method includes: a) discontinuous extrusion of the first material, b) discontinuous first profiling of the first material, c) discontinuous extrusion of the second material onto the first material, d) discontinuous profiling of the first and second materials and extrusion of the third material into each discontinuity, and e) final profiling of the first, second and third materials with a longitudinal groove in the profiled element next to each insert of the third material.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING A NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE CARCASS
This disclosure includes methods and apparatus for forming a non-pneumatic tire carcass comprising an inner hub, an outer band, and a plurality of spokes. The method includes arranging the inner hub, the plurality of spokes, and the outer band to form a curing assembly arranged in a first arrangement within a forming apparatus, where the inner hub is arranged concentrically within a radially inner annular side of the outer band and the plurality of spokes are arranged between the outer band and the inner hub. The plurality of spokes are forced in opposite radial directions from the first arrangement and to a second arrangement, where each spoke of the plurality of spokes is forced in a curing position against the inner hub and towards the outer band in a curing arrangement. The plurality of spokes are then cured to each of the inner hub and outer band.
