Systems and methods for reconditioning polymeric wheels
A method for reconditioning a rollable wheel includes coupling a polymeric wheel to a reconditioning system, the polymeric wheel having an outer surface including an abraded area, the abraded area having a first average surface roughness, and applying heat to the abraded area of the outer surface with one or more heater of the reconditioning system, such that a substantial portion of the abraded area is transformed to have a second average surface roughness, the second average surface roughness less than the first average surface roughness.
ANNULAR STRUCTURES FORMED FROM COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING ANNULAR STRUCTURES FROM COMPOSITE MATERIALS
Annular structures formed using composite materials and systems and methods for forming annular structures using composite materials are provided. The composite materials can include fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials. The annular structures include a number of component parts. Each component part can be in the form of a strip of fiber reinforced thermoplastic material that extends around all or a portion of a circumference of the structure. The ends of the component parts can be staggered, so that they a placed at different locations about the circumference of the structure. Methods for forming annular composite structures include wrapping one or more strips of fiber reinforced thermoplastic material having one or more layers about a mandrel, and fusing the strips to form an integral annular structure.
Wheel made out of fiber reinforced material and procedure to make such wheel
A wheel (1) includes a rim (2) and a wheel center (3) made from a fiber reinforced composite material. The wheel center (3) includes a tubular middle section (6) having a center opening (7) extending in the direction of a wheel axis (19) and having a first and a second end (8, 9). A hub (5) includes a first flange ring (10) and a second flange ring (11). At least one of the flange rings (10, 11) and the tubular middle section (6) are interconnected to each other by a form fit interconnection (12, 13).
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TOOTHED WHEEL BY COMPRESSION INJECTION MOLDING
A method for manufacturing a wheel, the method including a step of making a rim on a radially outer peripheral edge of a carrier core, during the step said carrier core, which extends from a radially inner wall forming a steering axis bore corresponding to the axis of rotation of the wheel, until the peripheral edge, is placed in a mold formed by at least one first portion and one second portion, then an injection material is injected by means of at least one injection nozzle so as to coat, by overmolding, at least partially said carrier core in order to form the rim, wherein after the injection of the injection material, the first portion of the mold and the second portion of the mold are brought closer to each other such that the injection material is compressed in the mold.
RIM, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A RIM
A method of manufacturing a fibrous composite bicycle rim , employs a tool device having a plurality of tool components including two molding devices and one circular device. The two molding devices each have one rim flank contact surface. The circular device includes a rim well contact surface. Tool components are provided, and a first varnish coat is applied to a rim contact surface and is dried. A first fiber layer of the fibrous composite material is applied to the flank contact surface of the molding devices, forming the outer fiber layers of the pertaining rim flanks. At least one first fiber layer of the fibrous composite material is applied to the circular device which forms the rim well. The tool components of are interconnected, and the tool device is closed, is heated up, and the smooth varnish coat firmly bonds with the hardening fibrous composite material.
WHEEL SPIDER WITH ASSEMBLED SPOKE ELEMENTS AND CONNECTION OF WHEEL SPIDER TO RIM WELL
A wheel includes a rim having a rim well and rim flanges, a hub, and at least three spoke elements. Each spoke element forms at least one spoke between the hub and the rim. The spoke elements are fastened to an inside of the rim in a form-closed manner or a form-closed and bonded manner. In the hub region, the spoke elements are supported on each other in a circumferential direction at abutting surfaces designed therefor. A method for producing the wheel is provided.
WHEEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE WHEEL
A wheel, in particular a counting wheel for a meter, includes a bearing bush and a wheel rim. The bearing bush and the wheel rim are produced from different materials. The bearing bush and the wheel rim can move relative to one another in the rotational direction through a guide having complementarily corresponding guide elements on the bearing bush and the wheel rim extending continuously in the circumferential direction of the counting wheel.
BELT PULLEY AND PLASTIC INJECTION-MOLDING METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
Provided is a plastic injection-molding method for producing a poly-V belt pulley, which has an outer ring, an inner ring, and a ring web, which connects the outer ring to the inner ring and has a plurality of radially oriented ribs. The injection molding occurs in a circular-ring-shaped injection-molding cavity, a poly-V-ribbed inner shell of which is formed by a plurality of radially movable slides and which is vented during the injection molding by the gaps between the slides adjacent to each other. The rib contour in the injection-molding cavity are designed in such a way that the plurality of ribs is formed of a first group of thin ribs and a second group of thick ribs and that the gaps extend in radial extension of the thin ribs, the width of which is significantly less than the width of the thick ribs, which extend circumferentially between the gaps.
Coextrusion of periodically modulated structures
The invention is directed to a method for manufacturing a foil having a variable strip geometry, which makes it possible to supply a foil that bears a complex security feature. The present invention is further directed to a corresponding data carrier having the foil supplied, and to the foil itself. The invention further relates to an extruder system for manufacturing a foil having a variable strip geometry and to a computer program product having control commands that implement the proposed method and/or operate the proposed extruder system.
ROLLER, IN PARTICULAR FOR A SLIDING DOOR
A roller, in particular for a sliding door of a vehicle, includes a main part having a running surface pointing radially outward. The running surface can be coupled to a guide rail of a sliding door. The roller also includes a central bore, penetrating the main part at least in part, for receiving a bearing arrangement for rotatable mounting of the main part.
