System and method for flexible manufacturing
The system includes a cell framework for defining a manufacturing area. The system includes at least one workplace within the manufacturing area. The system includes at least one manufacturing component within the manufacturing area and configured to be movable along three axes in relation to the at least one workplace. The system includes a conveying mechanism configured to move a part into the at least one workplace to be worked on by the at least one manufacturing component.
Press
A press including a drive train having a motor and a press ram, and a housing having a first base plate, a second base plate and at least three columns arranged therebetween. The columns connect the two base plates to one another and keep them spaced apart. A first opening is arranged in the first base plate and a second opening is arranged in the second base plate. At least a part of the motor is arranged on a first side of the first base plate facing away from the columns and at least a part of the press ram is arranged on a second side of the second base plate facing away from the columns. The motor and the press ram are interconnected through the first and second openings.
Hydraulic press for fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) product
A hydraulic press includes a workbench having four corners provided with uprights. The uprights are arranged in two rows front and rear, and the tops of the uprights in each row are connected by an upper beam extending in a left-right direction. Tie rods are inserted in the front and rear of each upright. The tie rods each have an upper end protruding from the top of the upper beam and fixed to the upper beam by an upper nut and a lower end protruding from the bottom of the workbench and fixed to the workbench by a lower nut. A central cylinder is provided at the center of the upper beam. Side cylinders are symmetrically arranged on the left and right of the central cylinder. The lower ends of plungers of the central cylinder and the side cylinders are fixedly connected to a top of a slider.
Adaptable hydraulic press
A hydraulic press includes a press assembly moveable in relation to a support assembly by actuation of an actuator to provide a compressive force between the top platen and the bottom platen. The press assembly includes a top platen, a counter balance, and at least one platen guide rod interconnected between the top platen and the counter balance. The support assembly includes a bottom platen, a base frame, and at least one counter balance guide rod interconnected between the bottom platen and the base frame. The actuator is mounted between the bottom plate and the counter balance. The actuator is interchangeable with another actuator to change the compressive force of the hydraulic press.
Retrofit systems for converting manual presses to automated presses
Retrofit systems for converting a manual press to an automated press. The retrofit systems include a first shaft, a second shaft, a first spacer, and a second spacer. The first shaft is mounted to a first vertical member and is coupled to a first cross member and to a second cross member. The second shaft is mounted to a second vertical member and is coupled to the first cross member and to the second cross member. The first spacer is supported by the first shaft and is disposed between the first vertical member and the first cross member. The second spacer is supported by the second shaft and is disposed between the second vertical member and the first cross member. The first spacer and the second spacer are selected to increase the space between the first cross member and the second cross member to accommodate an automatically actuated press.

PRESSING METHOD AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MECHANICAL APPARATUS
A method of performing pressing on a workpiece using a press machine. The pressing method includes: performing pressing on the workpiece between a lower die and an upper die by causing the upper die to approach the lower die by using the hydraulic cylinder in a state in which the workpiece is disposed between the lower die and the upper die, and performing the pressing on the workpiece between the lower die and the upper die, in a state in which a shape of each of the frame, the lower die and the upper die has a rotationally symmetric shape about the reference axis and in which the workpiece center axis coincides with the reference axis.
High pressure press and method of making the same
In an example, a cubic press is described having press bases with spacers disposed between adjacent press bases. Sets of two or more tie bars are also disposed between adjacent press bases. The tie bars are placed in a state of compression while the spacers are placed in a state of compression. During operation, the press bases may become displaced relative to one another such that additional tension is experienced by the tie bars while the amount of compression experienced by the spacer is reduced. The tie bars exhibit a relatively small cross-sectional area as compared to the cross-sectional area of the spacer.
