HYDRAULIC PRESS AND METHOD FOR PRESSING OBJECTS
The invention relates to a hydraulic press and a method of pressing different kinds of objects, such as briquettes. The hydraulic press comprises a body cylinder (1) housing a fluid space (2) and a working piston (3) whose rod (3a) extends to the outside of the body cylinder (1), the working piston (3) being adapted to be moved in the fluid space (2) by hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic press also comprises a pressure accumulator (4) as well as a hydraulic circuit with valves. Inside the working piston (7) moved by hydraulic pressure, a striking piston (7) moving along with the working piston (3) and quickly movable relative to the working piston (3) by means of hydraulic pressure, is provided. In addition, a separate impact body (10) is provided between the striking piston (7) and the object (14) pressed by the hydraulic press.
Tool set having deflection compensation
A tool and die set and related method of use of the tool and die set in a press for the compaction of a powder metal into a preform involves an uneven amount of positional deflection of at least two lower or upper tool members. This asymmetrical elastic response under load may help to eliminate cracking of the part after the compressive load is removed.
METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATED PRODUCTION OF INDIVIDUALIZED TABLETS, AND TABLET PRESS FOR THE AUTOMATED PRODUCTION OF INDIVIDUALIZED TABLETS
A method for producing tablets with an active substance including inputting a target number of tablets to produce and a target mass indicating the quantity of active substance per tablet, transmitting the target number and target mass to a controller configured to control a dosing device, a weighing device, extendable upper and lower punches, filling a quantity of the active substance from a container into an opening of a die. While filling, a pressure face of the lower punch closes the opening, and the amount of the active substance is measured by the weighing device on which the lower punch and the die are placed while filling. The method further including pressing the active substance, releasing a pressed tablet from the die, and repeating the repeating the process until the target number is reached.
PRESS RAM FOR A FINE BLANKING PRESS
A fine blanking press includes a press frame with two or more guide elements extending along a vertical axis, a press ram including a ram plate section configured to carry a fine blanking tool and two or more guide sections positioned on the two opposing side surfaces of the ram plate section. The ram plate section includes an upper surface, lower surface, and two opposing side surfaces. The two or more guide sections are structured to guide movement of the press ram relative to a press frame of the fine blanking press during a fine blanking process. The two or more guide sections extend in a vertical direction to a level that is higher than the upper surface of the ram plate section.
TOOLING ASSEMBLY FOR POWDER COMPACTING PRESS MACHINE
A tooling assembly is for a powder compacting press machine, which has a lower punch chuck and a core rod chuck. The tooling assembly has: a lower punch with a lower punch drawbar for holding the lower punch in the lower punch chuck in the powder compacting press machine; a core rod with a core rod drawbar for holding the core rod in the core rod chuck in the powder compacting press machine; and a coupling mechanism configured to enable a connection between the lower punch and the core rod. The coupling mechanism has a male coupling element on an outer surface of the core rod and a female coupling element on an inner surface of the lower punch drawbar. The male coupling element is an elastic element.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A TABLET PRESS MACHINE, PREFERABLY DURING CONTINUOUS OPERATION,BY MEANS OF A MEASURING DEVICE ATTACHED TO A PRESS PUNCH
The invention relates to a punch for a tableting machine. The punch preferably has a measuring device that can function in an energy self-sufficient manner independently of the power supply to the tableting machine. Furthermore, the invention relates to a tableting machine comprising the above-mentioned punch and a method for monitoring a tableting machine with the punch according to the invention during operation.
ARBOR PRESS WITH LIMITER CONTROLLING RAM LOAD AND TRAVEL
An arbor press includes a limiter for limiting load and/or travel of a ram used to press on an object. The ram includes a pair of pieces, a shaft and a sleeve, which are capable of relative translation, modulated by the spring. The spring may be preloaded, and configured to prevent overloading of the object, by limiting the transmission of force through the ram. The ram may also be configured to limit travel of the ram. The arbor press may include gearing to translate rotational movement of a handle to translational movement of the ram. The gearing may include a rack that is part of or is coupled to the shaft, and a pinion that is connected to the handle. Parts of the arbor press may be enclosed in a housing, to contain debris from metal-to-metal sliding in the arbor press, facilitating use in clean rooms.
Press ram for a fine blanking press
A press ram for a fine blanking press comprises a ram plate section configured to carry a fine blanking tool and at least two guide sections positioned on opposing sides of the ram plate section. The ram plate section comprises an upper surface, a lower surface, and two opposing side surfaces. The at least two guide sections of the ram plate section are configured to guide movement of the press ram relative to a press frame during a fine blanking process. The at least two guide sections extend in a vertical direction to a level that is higher than the upper side of the ram plate section.
Bottom Fill Espresso Cartridge and Tools and Methods for Constructing an Espresso Cartridge Therefrom
A bottom fillable espresso cartridge base and apparatus and method for filling and plugging the bottom of the espresso cartridge base. The espresso cartridge base includes an open bottom and a press in bottom plug. The top of the espresso cartridge may be sealed by a foil lid or the like, or be open and an adhesive attachable lid may be included for attachment by a user. A first method utilizes a hand held multi-function tool including a cartridge holder with a holder lid to capture the espresso cartridge, and a bottom tamper and plug seating arm. A second method utilizes a stationary base residing on a flat surface, a cartridge holder to retain cartridges on the base, and individual tools to fill and tamp brewing material in the cartridge, and to attach the bottom plug to the cartridge.
