Rosin press with interlocking frame
Various rosin press assemblies and methods are described. The rosin press assemblies can include a frame, press plates, a user interface, a press system, and a control unit. The frame can include a plurality of support elements, such as plates. Each plate within the frame can have tabs formed on the ends and edges of the plates and can have slots formed in the plates. The tabs from one plate can interlock with tabs or slots from other plates to form an interlocking frame. The interlocking frame can increase rigidity of the frame to prevent the frame from flexing during operation of the rosin press.
PRESS DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESINOUS PLANT EXTRACT
The invention is a rosin press that is adapted for operation in two dimensions so that collection efficiency and amount of rosin from the device is maximized which allows for larger quantity operation and faster production. The press applies pressure to a quantity of resinous plant material placed between a pair of heated platens to initiate a flow of rosin. The press can be quickly and easily rotated from a first dimension to a second dimension so that the flow of rosin can fall by gravity to a chilled surface and be more easily collected while preserving quality. The invention can apply to any resinous plant.
Herb oil pressing device and related method of pressing herbs
Herb oil pressing devices and methods are provided. The devices include a pair of closable opposed jaws that can apply pressure to a herb placed between the jaws; a motor connected to the jaws for controlling the closing of the jaws, and, when closed, controlling the pressure produced between the jaws; a heater connected to the jaws for heating the jaws and herb; a housing in which the jaws, the motor, and the heater are housed; and a user interface connected to the jaws and the heater, the user interface for inputting a selection of temperature, pressure, and amount of time the temperature and pressure is applied to a herb positioned between the jaws to extract oil therefrom. Related computer-implemented methods of pressing a herb are also provided.
Dewatering method for correcting water content of green veneer for plywood and apparatus for dewatering the green veneer
A large number of green veneers for plywood respectively having high water contents and formed in a rectangular shape are vertically laminated to obtain a veneer laminate having a quadrangular prismatic shape. The veneer laminate is located between upper and lower platen members so that two opposite side faces of the veneer laminate vertically form cut face gathering planes. The upper and lower platen members are moved toward each other to apply a pressing force to the veneer laminate. The pressing force applied to the veneer laminate is released or weakened while the water drawn through the cut face gathering planes by the pressing force is dripping downward along the cut face gathering planes of the veneer laminate vertically formed.
Press fixture
The embodiment of present invention discloses a press fixture, including: a carrier board; a power unit and a pressing unit attached on the carrier board and arranged at a certain distance with each other; a retractable unit and a pushing block, one end of the retractable unit being fixedly connected to the power unit and the other end of the retractable unit being fixedly connected to the pushing block. The power unit drives the retractable unit to retract, so that the retractable unit brings the pushing block to move between the power unit and the pressing unit, for pressing the first piece to be pressed and the second piece to be pressed located between the pushing block and the pressing unit. The press fixture according to the embodiment of present invention reduces the work force and the work intensity of the operators.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CARBONATE BONDED, PRESS-MOULDED ARTICLE
The carbonate bonded, press-moulded article is produced by press-moulding a particulate, carbonatable material that contains water and by carbonating the obtained compact with carbon dioxide gas. In order to be able to ensure an optimal compressive strength of the article two types of tests are provided. In the first type of test a sample of the particulate material is compressed with an increasing compaction pressure and when water starts to be expelled from the material as from a particular compaction pressure, the press-moulding step is performed with a compaction pressure which is at least 7 MPa smaller than this compaction pressure. In the second type of test different samples of the particulate material are press-moulded with different compaction pressures and, after having released the compaction pressure, the density of the compact is determined. In case this density decreases instead of increases as from a particular compaction pressure, the press-moulding step is performed with a compaction pressure which is smaller than this particular compaction pressure.
Linear actuated press
A mechanical press is provided that utilizes linear actuation driven by an electric power source and two opposing horizontal platform mounted press plates, an upper fixed plate and a lower traveling plate arranged vertically and tracked via vertical track posts to press resin, oils, extracts, or compounds from a raw plant material. The press plates are heated during press operation and function to heat and melt the desired plant products and the force from the press plates squeezes the melted materials out of the plant and onto a parchment paper or into a melt groove to flow to a collection tray.
JUICING SYSTEM WITH VARIABLE PRESSING PARAMETERS
Embodiments related to juicing systems including juicers for extracting juice from food matter contained within juicer cartridges are described.
Method for multi-stage cutting and juice pressing
Juice extraction using multiple pairs of juice extractors and comminutors which reduce the food pieces into successively smaller pieces with juice extraction occurring after each comminuting step. Coarse food pieces are pressed with extracted juice directed to a juice holding tank. The pressed coarse chop food pieces fall into the hopper of a second comminutor which performs a medium chop on the now pressed but still coarse chopped food pieces. The medium chopped food pieces are then fed from the second comminutor into the juice extraction chamber of a second juice extractor whereupon the medium chopped food pieces are pressed with extracted juice directed to a juice holding tank. Any number of comminutor and juice extraction pairs may be used in serial fashion to optimize the percentage of juice extracted in a minimum amount of time.
Multi-Platen Press
The present invention pertains in general to a multi-platen press apparatus and method for compressing and extracting fluids, rosin, and oils from plants and plant materials. The apparatus and method provides for simultaneous platen gap closure, support for a taller internal frame, higher quantities of fluids, rosin, and oils from plants and plant materials during a single cycle, a more uniform heat and pressure distribution between each platen, greater control in accommodating flow rates of different materials based on setting and locking the internal frame at different angles during operation, greater control and easier rotation from a vertical to a horizontal position.
